WowWee to Launch RoboMe iPhone Robot This Fall

RoBoMe is a new robot from WowWee coming out in the fourth quarter of this year. The remote controlled robot comes with a faceplate that can slide out and be replaced by your iPhone or iPod Touch. The screen of the iPhone then becomes the face of your robot through an app.

Some of the RoboMe features include voice command recognition, remote video control, and facial tracking. You can also control the robot with an iPad and see what the RoboMe is seeing. Pricing for RoboMe has not yet been announced.

Here is a video of RoboMe at the 2013 Toy Fair from Dad Does. At the Toy Fair the WowWee rep said you can also have your own face up on the RoboMe screen. Take a look:
