World's Largest Floating Christmas Tree Lit in Rio de Janeiro

Bradesco Seguros floating Christmas Tree


The world's largest floating Christmas tree was lit in Rio de Janeiro. The Bradesco Seguros Christmas Tree is 85 meters (278 feet) tall and weighs 542 tons. There are 3.1 million lights on the tree as well as 120,000 meters of luminous tubing and 100 LED reflectors. This year's tree highlights five elements: Water, Air, Forests, Humanity and Christmas. ITN reports that the annual tree lighting ceremony has become one of Brazil's biggest tourist attractions. A website for the tree can be found here. Take a look:
