Walgreens Turns Chicago's Historic Noel State Bank Building Into Flagship Store
Walgreens recently restored the historic Noel State Bank Building into a flagship store. The Noel State Bank building was constructed in 1919. It was designed by Gardner C. Coughlen in a neo-classical style The building is is located in Chicago's Bucktown/Wicker Park neighborhood.
The store's most unique features is the Vitamin Vault. The bank's original cast iron safe entrance is now the Vitamin Vault, where original bank lockboxes showcase vitamin products. The store also features an Upmarket Cafe, juice bar, Look boutique and iPad-equipped health guide.
