General Aladeen (Sacha Baron Cohen) Dumps Ashes on Ryan Seacrest on Oscars Red Carpet
Posted on February 26, 2012
Sacha Baron Cohen arrived on the red carpet at the Oscars as General Aladeen, the character from his upcoming film, The Dictator. He arrived carrying the ashes of former North Korean leader, Kim Jong-il.
Ryan Seacrest interviewed General Aladeen on the red carpet. Aladeen told Seacrest that Kim Jong-il had always dreamed of coming to the Oscars. Aladeen said he was wearing John Galliano, except for his socks, which are from K-mart. The Dictator then dumped Kim Jong-il's ashes all over Ryan Seacrest's Burberry tuxedo.
Aladeen told Seacrest that now if anyone asks who is wearing to tell them he is wearing Kim Jong-il. The "ashes" were actually Bisquick, but they made a mess of Ryan's tux, as well as a good swath of the red carpet which the actresses had to avoid to safeguard their couture gowns. Take a look:
