Verizon has partnered with Chute Gerdeman to redesign its stores. The first redesigned store is at the Mall of America. The 9,000+-square foot designed by Gerdeman features mobile lifestyle zones that provide devices, accessories, and apps. Verizon says the idea behind the concept is that it wants to go beyond just selling phones to help people experience "a more robust mobile life."
Jay Highland, Chute Gerdeman's Vice President, Client Creative Partner, said in a statement, "This store is the first of its kind. Verizon has created a cutting-edge, yet accessible experience, where the store and the staff specialists speak in the language and lifestyle of the shopper, and where discovery and experiences are key. In our collective experience, no other retailer has presented familiar technology categories of lifestyle products in such a compelling manner."
