ToysRUs Calls Its 2015 Toy Catalog The Great Big Book of Awesome

ToysRUs has an awesome name for its 2015 toy catalog. It is calling it The Great Big Toys"R"Us Book of Awesome. The catalog ties in with the toy retailer's 2015 holiday marketing campaign centered around the notion of what it calls "Awwwesome." The campaign will include ads, called Shelf Talkers, featuring toys like Ken, Barbie and Optimus Prime.
ToysRUs announced its Fabulous 15 list and 2015 toy trend predictions last month. Now it has released its catalog. ToysRUs also released this video about its catalog that features talking toys.
Ad scans of the Book of Awesome catalog have leaked online. Darth Vader, Hulk Smash Vehicle and Imaginext Ultra T-Rex are among the toys that made the catalog's front page. You can get a copy of the new catalog at ToysRUs stores or sign up to receive a digital copy. The catalog includes coupons in addition to toy photographs and descriptions. Some of the coupons in the catalog include a $10 gift card with purchases of $75 or more, $5 off $25+ Crayola purchases and BOGO 40% off on My Little Pony Plah-Doh sets
Toys R Us also lowered its free shipping minimum required for online orders to $19 on September 9. That's $30 less than its regular minimum of $49. By comparison, Best Buy and Target are both offering free shipping, no minimum, this holiday season. The increased competition surrounding free shipping offers should be a plus for consumers this season.
