Toyota Begins Testing i-Road Vehicles on Public Roads

Toyota is testing its i-Road vehicles on public roads in Tokyo. The ultra-compact vehicles have three wheels. They were first introduced as a concept at the 43rd Tokyo Motor Show 2013. Toyota says the vehicles combine "the convenience of a motorcycle with the comfort and stability of a car." Toyota will be testing the vehicles from now through June to collect feedback on driving feel, user satisfaction and ease-of-use in urban areas.

The skinny little vehicles look almost like half a car. The vehicles have two electric motors and use a lithium-ion battery. Toyota also released a photograph showing the i-Road in different colors indicating they will be available in more options than just black and white if they do began selling them. Take a look:
