The Big Bang Theory Renewed for Three More Years
The Big Bang Theory has been renewed for three more years. This will keep the show on the air through its tenth season in 2016-2017. The episode one DVD set of The Big Bang Theory is pictured above. There is probably going to be one very large boxed set for the entire series at the end of its run, which could go well beyond season ten as far as we are concerned. We are huge fans of the show.
Deadline reports that CBS and Warner Bros. Television have cut the licensing deal and negotiations with the cast will no begin. Deadline says the main three stars - Johnny Galecki, Jim Parsons and Kaley Cuoco-Sweeting - are projected to earn about $1 million per episode.
The series has huge ratings and averages nearly 20 million viewers per episode. This made renewing the show a no-brainer for CBS. The actors have also been expressing interest in continuing the show for several more years in recent interviews.
