In this video sixteen baby panda cubs make their debut and head off to panda nursery school. CBS news reports that the sixteen infant pandas were born in China's famous panda breeding center after the devastating 2008 Sichuan, China earthquake.
The video is in Chinese, which we do not speak, so we have no idea why the Chinese make pandas go to nursery school. What exactly are they learning? Probably how to be even more adorable. Take a look:

Apple Pitching iTunes Subscription Plan to TV Networks
The Wall Street Journal's Digits blog reports that iTunes is in talks with TV networks about launching a $30 subscription service for tv shows through iTunes.
The company is trying to round up support for a monthly subscription service that would deliver TV programs via its multimedia software, multiple sources tell me.
Apple isn't tying the proposed service to a specific piece of hardware, like its underwhelming Apple TV box or its long-rumored tablet/slate device. Instead, the company is presenting the offer as an extension of its iTunes software and store, which already has 100 million customers.
A so-called "over the top" service could theoretically rival the ones most consumers already buy from cable TV operators - if Apple is able to get enough buy-in from broadcast and cable TV programmers.
A subscription service will only work if they can get enough content providers on board. Subscribers aren't likely to pay a monthly fee if they are also going to have to still pay for their favorite shows that aren't part of the subscription plan. A subscription move could end up putting Apple and Hulu in direct compeition as Hulu is also planning to launch a fee-based service next year. Unlike Hulu, Apple already has people paying for television content on iTunes.
According to a new industry report, 2,000 Irish pubs are going to close in the next 10 to 15 years as the recession changes consumers' behavior. More of the Irish are doing their drinking at home to save money.
Some 31 percent of bars outside the Dublin area don't expect their venue to continue as a licensed premises after the current owner retires, the Drinks Industry Group of Ireland said today in a report on its Web site. Ireland has about 7,000 bars outside the capital, DIGI said.
Pub sales are falling as unemployment soars, amplifying a trend toward drinking at home. Almost three-quarters of Irish bars said sales have fallen in the last five years, the report shows. Revenue has also been affected after Ireland banned smoking in public places in 2004 and more recently cracked down on drink-driving.
"We're looking at a fairly significant decline in numbers," economist Anthony Foley, author of the report, said at a press conference in Dublin. "We're looking at over two thousand rural pubs disappearing in the next decade or decade and a half."
Since 2004 pub sales have been steadily falling, according to the study, In the last several years, bar sales have fallen by 30%. England's pubs are having the same problems. In fact, some think that the end of the classic Irish and British pubs is not far off.

Broadcasting & Cable reports that the fun may be over at Hulu. The website plans a switch to a subscription model in 2010. B&C interviewed News Corp. Deputy Chairman Chase Carey who said Hulu's current free model is a difficult way for them to make money.
"I think a free model is a very difficult way to capture the value of our content. I think what we need to do is deliver that content to consumers in a way where they will appreciate the value," Carey said. "Hulu concurs with that, it needs to evolve to have a meaningful subscription model as part of its business."
AdVerse had a quick chat with Carey too and posed the question, when exactly does Hulu start charging then? Carey, who says he's only been to one Hulu board meeting since arriving at News Corp., suggests there is still no timeline but supposes it’s at least in 2010. Carey says that while throwing up a pay-wall around all content is not the answer, it doesn't mean there wont be fees for some specially-created content and TV previews. Windows are just around the corner. American Idol audition previews anyone? Mobile Hulu is another potential way of making money.
Is Hulu going to try to charge people while continuing to run commercials? People aren't going to pay for content they can get free elsewhere while also being bombarded with ads. A lot of people won't pay whether there are commercials or not. Those willing to pay are going to want an ad-free service. They will also want every episode available from every season. They will also want the episodes available immediately after they have aired - not some annoying eight day delay. The News Corp. and Comcast executives that think hordes of people will pay for Hulu the way exists now are deluded.

Analyst: AT&T's Exclusive iPhone Contract Could End Next Summer
Brandweekreports that Piper Jaffray analyst Gene Munster is predicting that AT&T will lose its exclusive deal with Apple's iPhone next summer.
Rumors that Apple's iPhone may soon shutter its exclusive deal with AT&T just got some expert support. Gene Munster, a senior analyst for Piper Jaffray, stated in a recent investors report that the company predicts Apple could open its iPhone product to additional U.S. carriers sometime next summer.
In the report, Munster mentioned how Apple gained in market share when it switched from an exclusivity model with French carrier Orange to a multi-carrier model, and that this could propel the decision.
It may not happen that quickly. CNET notes that there are also rumors AT&T already has or is negotiating with Apple to get its exclusivity contract extending until 2011.
In an interview here on Fortune's Brainstorm Tech blog, Gene Munster also talks about Apple possibly launched a $30 - $40 tv subscription fee on iTunes that could compete with cable.
Utah's Hogle Zoo recently announced that three critically endangered male Amur tiger cubs have been born. The Amur tigers, formerly known as Siberian tigers, are part of the Association of Zoos and Aquariums' (AZA) Tiger Species Survival Plan (SSP). The Hogle Zoo reports that the mother Basha is doing an excellent job taking care of the three male cubs.
For the past couple of months these tiger brothers have become increasingly active and Basha is kept busy nursing and caring for her three active and playful cubs. Although this is first litter for her, she is proving to be an excellent mother. "With first-time moms we prepare ourselves to deal with the unknown. But Basha took on the three cubs like she was a natural; she was an extremely caring, protective, great mom from day one," says Hogle Zoo feline keeper Jill VanMilligen. She adds, "Basha was one of three cubs born at Hogle Zoo in 2003 and now watching her become a mom herself is incredible." This is the first time that Kazek, who arrived at Hogle Zoo in 2006 from the Buffalo Zoo, has sired a litter.
The cubs are absolutely adorable and they are going to get much bigger. Hogle Zoo says Amur tigers are the largest of all the cat species. Adult males can grow to be 11 feet long and weigh 400 to 650 pounds.
Apple had some Snow Leopard news today but these adorable Snow Leopard cubs are the real thing. The video from Seattle's Woodland Park Zoo shows two Snow Leopard cubs - Gobi (male) and Batu (female) - exploring their exhibit for the first time. It would be easier for them to explore their surroundings if they were not involved in a never-ending game of stalk and tackle. The song playing in the video is "Have You Ever" by Brandi Carlile. Ricketts Family Buys Chicago Cubs for $800 Million
The Ricketts family - led by billionaire Joe Ricketts - has purchased a controlling interest in the Chicago Cubs. The Chicago Tribunereports that the Ricketts bought a 95% in the Cubs team, Wrigly Field and and Tribune Co.'s 25% stake in Comcast SportsNet Chicago.
"Our family is thrilled to have reached an agreement to acquire a controlling interest in the Chicago Cubs, one of the most storied franchises in sports," Joe Ricketts, a billionaire who founded the Omaha-based online brokerage TD Ameritrade Holding Corp., said in a statement. "The Cubs have the greatest fans in the world, and we count our family among them. We look forward to closing the transaction so that we can begin leading the Cubs to a World Series title."
The announcement is somewhat anticlimactic because in January Tribune Co. had selected the Ricketts family as the winning bidder of a protracted auction for the franchise. There were nine other prospective buyers.
The Ricketts family was expected to buy the Cubs but the Tribune says the negotiations took much longer than anyone expected. At one point Tribune Co. became so frustrated they tried to bring in a second buyer.
The Chicago Cubs is one of the few Major League Baseball teams that has a big national following. You can find die-hard Cubs fans in every state.
The Denver Zoo revealed four newborn endangered Red Panda cubs yesterday. The cubs, three males and one female, were born on July 9 and are still very tiny. The birth is extremely rare and marks only the fifth recorded birth of quadruplets at an accredited U.S. zoo. It's cute overload at the Denver Zoo this week, no question. Listen to their teeny, weeny baby panda voices:
The London Zoo showed off two newborn Asian lion cubs, the first to be born at the zoo in ten years. The species is endandered: there are only 200 of them living in the wild, which is why zoo breeding programs are so important. Aren't they adorable? Take a look:
