Here is another toy from the upcoming Toy Story 3 movie. The latest character from the film is a purple octopus named Stretch. Stretch is described as a toy with sticky suckers that will slowly climb down after being thrown high up on a wall. Stretch is voiced by actress Whoopi Goldberg in the film.

Twitch is another one of the new characters we will meet in Disney/Pixar's Toy Story 3. Other new toy characters include Lots-O'-Huggin' Bear, Trixie and Buttercup, and Peas in a Pod. Twitch is a five inch tall insectaloid warrior. Here is the official description of Twitch:

Several new toys will be introduced in the Toy Story 3 movie from Disney/Pixas. They include Peas in a Pod, three little peas contained in a plush pod pouch with a zipper, and Ken, Barbie's well-known companion. There is a also a plush bear named Lots-O'-Huggin' Bear. Now two more characters have been revealed: Trixie and Buttercup. Plush toy versions of these characters will likely be available in stores this summer as well. The movie arrives in theaters on June 18th.
Hasbro Launching Two New Mr. Potato Head Toys This Summer
The two Mr. Potato head figures pictured above are part of the hundreds of Toy Story 3 tie-in toys being launched this year. Both Mr. Potato Head Toy Story 3 Woody's Tater Round-Up (left) and Mr. Potato Head Toy Story 3 Spud Lightyear (right) will be released this summer by Hasbro. The retail price is $9.99 for both Mr. Potato Heads. The toys were introduced when Toy Story 3 helped kick off this year's toy fair in New York City.
One of the new Lego Toy Story 3 is the Toy Story 3 Western Train set. Rex is trapped in a boxcar packed with dynamite. Lego builders have to help Woody, Buzz Lightyear and Jessie fight their way into the train and get everyone off safely. The train set has an MSRP of $79.99 and will arrive in toy stores this summer.

Disney-Pixar's Toy Story 3 helped kick off the American International Toy Fair in New York City yesterday. The franchise will have over 250 new toys launching this summer and this holiday season from several toy manufacturers. Many of the toys will launch this summer to coincide with the arrival of Toy Story 3 in theaters on June 18th. The new Toy Story 3 toy line features action figures, dolls, role play, games, play sets, construction sets, vehicles, talking plush toys and robots.
In a Toy Story-themed setting before an invitation-only crowd of toy industry insiders, Green Army Men descended from the ceiling in "take-over" mode. The Green Army Men helped John Lasseter, chief creative officer of Walt Disney and Pixar Animation Studios, Lee Unkrich, director, Toy Story 3, Darla K. Anderson, producer, Toy Story 3 and John Ratzenberger, voice of Hamm, unveil a first look at some of the new toys. The Toy Story 3 launch also included a life-size Lego bust of John Lasseter.
"I've always had a great love and fascination with toys and that's really where the idea for Toy Story began," said Lasseter. "When we set out to create Toy Story, I imagined this really amazing group of characters that would entertain kids and families for hours. And that's also what we set out to do with the toys inspired by the films. Working with some of the best toy companies, we took every single detail into consideration to develop a great toy line that is true to this franchise. Taking a look around the room today, I think we again achieved our vision with Toy Story 3."

Toy Story Action Links sets are linkable play sets that snap together to create an interactive and adventurous Toy Story world.
The Lego Group's first Toy Story-inspired toy line comes out this year. It includes the Toy Story 3 Western Train and the Toy Story 3 Lotso's Dump Truck.
Lego will also have Lego versions of the green army men.
Hasbro will have a new collection of Mr. and Mrs. Potato Head figures, including Mr. and Mrs. from the movie dressed as Buzz, Woody and Jessie. There will also be plush versions.
Jakks Pacific will offer Halloween costumes, play furniture and electronic games.
There will also be Toy Story 3 versions of Hasbro's games aincluding Yahtzee, Memory, Operation, Trouble, Connect 4 and Chutes and Ladders.

The Toy Story 3 official trailer is out and it's really good. Ten years after the last movie, Andy is now heading off to college and so donates his toys to a daycare center, which is just awful for Woody, Buzz Lightyear and the rest of the gang. Determined to stay together, the toys decide to break out of daycare. Tom Hanks, Tim Allen, Don Rickles and Michael Keaton are all back voicing their roles. We can't wait to see it. Take a look:
Zombieland was the #1 film in theatres this weekend. It made $25 million. The zombie horror comedy led by Woody Harrelson knocked Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs from the #1 spot. Meatballs fell to #2 after spending two consecutive weeks at #1. The film made another $16 million to bring its box office total to over $82 million. In 3rd place this weekend was the 3D release of Toy Story and Toy Story 2. Ricky Gervais's The Invention of Lying opened in fourth place and made $7.35 million. Surrogates, a science fiction thriller starring Bruce Willis, dropped to fifth in its second week in theatres - its total after two weeks is $26 million. Michael Moore's Capitalism: A Love Story and Drew Barrymore's Whip It tied for sixth place - each film made $4.85 million.
Tim Allen Gives Thumbs Up to Space Ranger Buzz Lightyear
Buzz Lightyear gets a thumbs up from Tim Allen for his NASA adventure. Tim Allen is the voice of Buzz Lightyear in Disney-Pixar's Toy Story franchise, including the upcoming Toy Story 3 movie, which arrives in theatres June 18, 2010. Buzz Lightyear spent more than 15 months in space onboard the International Space Station as part of a NASA-Disney educational outreach collaboration. Buzz returned home aboard Space Shuttle Discovery STS-128 on September 11. He'll be treated to a ticker-tape parade down Main Street, U.S.A. in the Magic Kingdom at Walt Disney World Resort in Florida on October 2nd.
Toy Story and Toy Story 2 director John Lasseter talks about Andy's toys in the films and an upcoming toy line from Disney. Disney has a new line of Toy Story toys coming out called the Toy Story Definitive toy line. Disney promises it will be the "most film-accurate replicas yet." Lasseter says even the packaging is just like how Andy would have bought it at the store. Take a look:
This 5'3" Lego model of Buzz Lightyear aws constructed from 40,000 Lego bricks in 250 hours by 3 Master Builders. The Lego Buzz Lightyear was unveiled by Disney Consumer Products at the Licensing International Expo. Disney's Toy Story 3 comes out in 2010. You can see a teaser trailer here.
