Target Turns Artistic Billboards Into Tote Bags
 Target transformed its iconic Times Square billboards into an artistic homage to New York City with the unveiling of several larger-than-life commissioned works from emerging artists. The billboards will remain on display through the end of October. The artwork also be made into limited limited-edition tote bags based on a design created exclusively for Target by Anna Sui.
Anna Sui also has a new collection launching at Target on September 13th.
"As a supporter of the arts, Target is thrilled to give emerging artists the most visible canvas in the world to display their work," said Michael Francis, executive vice president and chief marketing officer, Target. "We look forward to extending the artworks' reach as the billboards take on second lives as tote bags."

Jodi Guber and Andre Charles Design I Am Beyond Bags
Designer Jodi Guber and graffiti artist Andre Charles have designed a line of "I Am Beyond" bags. The five different bags include sayings like "I Am Beyond Lucky" and "I Am Beyond Grateful." 30% of the proceeds from the bags will be donated to the The Art of Elysium, a nonprofit organization that encourages working actors, artists and musicians to voluntarily dedicate their time and talent to children who are battling serious medical conditions. The bags retail for $65 and can be pre-ordered here.

Louis Vuitton US Joins Twitter
Twitter is so hip these days that even Louis Vuitton doesn't want to be left out. The fashion label's first tweet said, "Louis Vuitton is now on Twitter. Follow us, the US Digital Media team, to get an insight into the world of Louis Vuitton." They also tweeted about the pre-launch of the totally monogram tote.

Forever 21 Go Green Tote
A lot of retailers are joining the green trend this year for Earth Day. Forever 21 is participating with this eco-friendly tote called Go Green. The tote can be purchased here and in stores for $1.75. American Forests will plan a tree for each of the Go Green Forever 21 totes purchased. Forever 21 also has a cute tote with an owl on it but a tree won't be planted with the purchase of the owl tote.

Disney Launches Earth Day Tote Bags
Disney Store is launching an assortment of environmentally friendly tee shirts, aprons and tote bags for Earth Day made from Sustainable Solutions Group's Rethink fabric, a new textile created from recycled water bottles. You can see all the products here. The tote bag pictured above with Mickey Mouse hugging a tree retails for $24.50.
There's also a tote bag that retails for $2.50. Disney Store and Disney Worldwide Conservation Fund in collaboration with The Nature Conservancy have also planted one tree to match the number of earth friendly reusable tote bags that have been produced. Disney Store donated 96,000 trees (one for each tote bag) to help The Nature Conservancy reach its goal of planting a billion trees by 2015 in Brazil's Atlantic Forest. The tote bags feature a special Earth Day design, are made from 100 percent recycled materials and retail for an SRP of $2.50 each. Isaac Mizrahi has designed this brightly colored silk chiffon scarf and tote bag for the New York Times. The tote bag carries the New York Times logo. Only 600 of each were made.
The 100% silk chiffon scarf shimmers with movement as tangerine colors gives way to a vibrant red. It makes a statement of sophisticated beauty with its delicately fringed edges and its silk threaded-knot design. 36" x 36"; dry clean only
The tote bag is made of sturdy twill and patent spatzilato leather in a bold red. On the inside, a polyester, laminated tangerine lining for durability and a 100% cotton dust bag for storage. Puma Launches Reality Bag No. 2
Puma is releasing 500 of these bags dubbed Reality Bag No. 2. The bags were created as part of Puma's sponsorshop of Rubell Family Collection's exhibit 30 Americans. The 30 Americans exhibit highlights the work of thirty African American artists.
The blue leather totes with red black widow spider design also contain a crayon box, business cards, USB stick, 30 Americans catalog and other items. BlackBook says the spider bags will be available on April 15th, exclusively at Puma Black stores in New York, Hong Kong and Tokyo. You can read more about the bags here on Puma's website.

Yves Saint Laurent to Pass Out Free Totes in Several Cities
 Glamour says Yves Saint Laurent will be sending people to several cities on February 14th - including New York, London and Paris - to hand out free tote bags that contain a heart-shaped USB drive. A total of 2,000 tote bags will be handed out.
This time around, the YSL team will take to the streets in New York, London, Tokyo, and Paris, Milan, and Hong Kong to hand out 2,000 totally free tote bags in each city. Lucky ladies can also score a heart-shaped USB stick that comes with all of the manifesto images--starring this year's old school supermodel, Claudia Schiffer--pre-loaded onto it.
It hasn't yet been announced where exactly in each city the YSL team will hand out the bags. WWD says February 14th is also the date the issue of Yves Saint Laurent's Manifesto catalogue will be released. A YSL Manifesto video will also premiere on ysl.com on Valentine's Day.

The Land's End Artwork Tote for Mother's Day
Land's End has a very cute idea for Mother's Day: the Artwork Tote bag. We love Land's End totes for their durability and multiplicity of sizes they come in. Patent leather is all the rage right now and that's just fine by us. We've always been big patent leather fans. We love this Kate Spade Pasadena Rudy Short Shoulder tote in white patent leather. The dimensions are 13" wide x 4 1/2" deep x 10" high, which make it perfect for traveling, or if you're spending the day away from home. The shoulder straps are 7" in length and it also includes ouside flap pockets. The snap closure is magnetic. The interior has a zip pocket, slip pocket and a center compartment that closes with a zipper.
