Heidi Montag Says She Nearly Died After Plastic Surgery
The Heidi Montag plastic surgery story just took a weirder twist. Now Heidi says that she nearly died after the plastic surgery and her story clearly implies that the doctor was negligent.
"I almost died after my procedure," Montag told Access Hollywood's Billy Bush on Monday. "I had too much Demerol like Michael Jackson did and my breathing was five breaths per minute which is like almost dead. (I was) in an aftercare center, there were nurses that were supposed to be tending to me at all times."
"So thank God, Charles, one of my security guys used to be an EMT, and he was timing my breath on his watch and he called the nurses and they had to put oxygen on my face and called my plastic surgeon to come in for an emergency. So, it was a very traumatic experience for me," she continued.
Two months after the surgery, Montag said she is now starting to regain all of the movement in her face.
"I'm starting to move my face more and more," Montag said. '(But,) I feel very plastic .. especially when I first came out, it was so hard for me even to smile and it's still hard for me to chew sometimes. But it's feeling more and more natural everyday because the swelling is going down."
Heidi has surgery on November 20th. She underwent 10 procedures, including another nose job, mini brow lift, Botox, fat injections in cheeks and lips, chin reduction, neck lip, breast implants, lip on her waist and thighs and a butt augmentation.
So, now that she's apparently waived confidentiality is her surgeon allowed to respond to these allegations? He's already under fire for putting her under anesthetic for so long and for performing so many procedures at once.
Here is a list of some of the helpful tips Speidi promises in the book:

Bow down to the power of the paparazzi
Heidi Montag says everyone in Hollywood is just as shameless as they are but they are the ones that wind up getting labeled labeled as being shameless. She says, "Tom Cruise is doing the exact same paparazzi setups as we do and yet we are the shameless ones and he is the classy movie star." Take a look:
TMZ reports that Heidi Pratt was rushed to the hospital in Costa Rica after allegedly being tortured during the show I'm a Celebrity, Get Me Out of Here. Heidi and Spencer were on the show to play for charity. They left the show once, but their attorney convinced them to go back. As punishment they were put in a dark room for 24 hours and given only rice, beans and water to eat. Heidi began to vomit uncontrollably and had to be rushed to the hospital.
We've learned Heidi was rushed to the hospital and diagnosed with a gastric ulcer, after being held with hubby Spencer Pratt in a dark room for a day and a night with only water, rice and beans. It was designed as punishment because they left the show. One cast member described their treatment this way -- "It's the same as Guantanamo Bay."
And get this ... a cast member tells us NBC execs tried to convince Heidi to stay on the set rather than take an ambulance to a hospital for treatment. She has now left the hospital and is on meds.
We're told some of the cast members want to quit, but their passports have been taken away and they are under guard.
Paul Telegdy, NBC's Exec VP of Alternative Programming, told Ryan Seacrest about holding Heidi and Spencer in isolation as punishment, adding, "...They are now going to be examined, and their value system utterly deconstructed ...These people really are going to bare their souls."
We're told Spencer has fired his lawyer (who wanted him to stay on the show) and is now planning to sue NBC over the show.
Spencer's sister said that they were kept for three days with no food or water, which would actually constitute torture. Stephanie Pratt also says that
Heidi's family is flying out to see her. If this is true, it would indicate a much more serious situation than what TMZ is reporting.
A lot of people are saying that Heidi and Spencer just want attention, but we think this incident highlights the disgusting nature of these reality shows that get ratings by making people -- whether they are celebrities or not -- do stupid, dangerous stunts and eat bizarre items in an attempt at entertainment. We hate the entire concept of making desperate people do humiliating things for money.
As for the show's producers taking cast members' passports away, that seems unlikely given the fact that would constitute a serious crime. More than likely, it's all some publicity stunt to get people to tune into the show. But we'll see.
