Video: Scarlett Johansson Makes Her Debut on Broadway
Scarlett Johansson has been getting good reviews for her Broadway debut in the Arthur Miller play A View From the Bridge. Scarlett co-stars with Liev Schreiber. She talks about being nervous for her first big performance, and how much she loves doing the play. Her mother told her that she finally had arrived, now that she's on Broadway. Take a look:
J.C. Penney has inked a deal with Spain's fast fashion company Mango. Penney's will be the exclusive department store retailer of Mango fashions in the U.S.
The deal, announced by the companies on Tuesday, will help Mango strengthen its presence in the United States, where it has 12 stores. Targeting women ages 18 to 40, Mango operates 1,300 stores worldwide.
Fast fashion refers to affordable clothing collections that are designed, made and marketed quickly then replaced by a new collection.

Each Mango store within a J.C. Penney will take up about 1,000 square foot of space and serve as the anchor for a modern merchandise area within the store.
Scarlett Johansson is the face of Mango, but it's unclear if she'll be attending the launch of the Mango specialty stores inside 75 J.C. Penney locations across the U.S.
Scarlett Johansson's Dolce and Gabbana Fragrance Commercial

The fragrance is now on sale at Neiman Marcus here for $60.00 for 1.6 ounces. In the commercial Scarlett says, "It seems simple. Beauty is on the outside, but you might have to get what's inside to get to what's sweet. Beauty that's in your mind - that's the one."
Scarlett Johansson is the Face of Mango's Fall/Winter 2010 Campaign
Actress Scarlett Johansson became the new face of Mango when she took over the campaign from Penelope Cruz earlier this year. The latest campaign is an 80s inspired campaign shot by photographer Mario Sorrenti. Mango says it accentuated shoulder lines on suit jackets and outer garments in its latest collection.
This season, we are adding clear 1980s influences to its collection. Shoulder lines are accentuated on suit jackets and outer garments, while the silhouette becomes narrower in lower garments. Therefore, emphasis is placed on slim-fit trousers, biker trousers, leggings and pencil skirts.
Scarlett's previous Mango campaign included some animal prints - see here.

The Daily Mailcalled Scarlett a 1940s wartime belle for her 1940s style. The ad campaign for Dolce's new line was inspired by Marilyn Monroe. You can see more photos of Scarlett in her Dolce & Gabbana floral-print blouse and skirt here.
More Photos of Scarlett Johansson and Gwyneth Paltrow in Iron Man 2
Here are a couple new photos of Scarlett Johansson (as Black Widow) and Gwyneth Paltrow (as Pepper Potts) from Iron Man 2. Gwyneth Paltrow didn't make the Entertainment Weekly cover so it is good to see there is a photo of her in this latest publicity round.
Entertainment Weekly has the
Scarlett Johansson first photos from Iron Man 2 and they look amazing. Scarlett Johansson plays the infamous Black Widow.
Adding more flesh and blood to the new movie, Scarlett Johansson joined the cast as Stark's mysterious new assistant, Natasha, who has an alter ego of her own, Black Widow. That introduction inevitably sparks romantic tension between Stark and former assistant Pepper Potts (Gwyneth Paltrow), who's been promoted to CEO of Stark Industries. "The men want it to be, like, 'Ooh, the girls are fighting over Tony,' but it's not as standard as that," says Paltrow. "There's a weird male catfight fantasy. Downey agrees. He believes what differentiates the franchise from other superhero series can be summarized as follows: "We're horny. Not, like, can't-bring-your-kids horny, but just...horny."
The question remains whether Iron Man 2 will soar like the first film or show signs of rust when it hits theaters. "People are going to be more critical," says Downey. "That's their prerogative....In a way, there's no way to win, except to win. Big."
Why in the world is Robert Downey, Jr. on the cover of EW flanked by Scarlett and Mickey Roarke?? Where is Gwyneth Paltrow as Pepper Potts? We suppose the photographer was going for "the hero surrounded by villains" but it's not working. Gwynnie should have been on the cover. Clearly, the photographer is not a GOOP fan.
More From Scarlett Johansson's Fall Campaign for Mango
Here are some new ads from the Fall 2009 Mango campaign featuring actress Scarlett Johansson. The ads were shot by photographer Mario Sorrenti. The first image from the new campaign surfaced in May, when it was announced she would be replacing actress Penelope Cruz. The photos look great; it's good to see Scarlett as a blonde again.
Scarlett Johansson covered the June issue of Elle France wearing Louis Vuitton. She's still in her brunette mode in this photo shoot. You can see more photos from the issue here.
Ryan Reynolds Talks Naked Stunts With Sandra Bullock
We had no idea that Ryan Reynolds was so funny until we saw him in the promo clip for his and Sandra Bullock's new movie, The Proposal. The romantic comedy has a racy scene in it: the two are at a cabin pretending to be in love to his family so they can get married to get Sandra's character a visa to stay in the United States. Ryan explained the nude scene when they literally run full tilt into each other:
Reynolds told Access Hollywood's Billy Bush on Saturday at the film's junket that "it's a full collision."
"If I didn’t know Sandra Bullock completely before, I do now," he said. “I know her in ways that [husband] Jesse James would turn me into some sort of flying curd cottage cheese-type pudding if he knew. It's pretty incredible."
But Reynolds said that the scene, which took three days to film and over a dozen takes, was more silly than sexy on the set.
"It's actually ridiculous," he said. "Not only are you naked, you’re doing a stunt as well. It's like expertly lit Cirque de Soleil porn."
The star, who showed off some superheroic muscles in "X-Men Origins: Wolverine" earlier this month, took steps to get in shape for the role.
"I was training for a marathon at the time, so that was my workout," he said. "I had to do these 5-, 6-, 7-mile runs every morning. That was enough."
And of his on-screen chemistry with his co-star, Reynolds said it was an easy fit.
"She and I have known each other for 8 or 9 years, so we had this friendship already." He said. "[The movie is] kind of our chemistry in real life."
*****
Reynolds has kept quiet on his own proposal to now-wife Scarlett Johansson, but he joked to Bush that asking her to be his bride wasn't easy.
"The hardest part was to compress all of that love, all of that joy into just one text message. And then it was just hitting send," he said.
That Ryan, he's such a kidder. Saying he asked Scarlett to marry him via text message -- now that's funny. The Proposal opens in theaters in wide release on June 19.
Vogue.com reports that Scarlett Johansson is modeling for Mango.
