Witches, Vampires and Pirates Most Popular Adult Costumes for 2009
 The National Retail Federation has released its findings for the top Halloween costumes people are likely to wear this year. For adult costumes, witches topped the list as they do year after year. They had 18.1% of the vote. Vampires climbed to #2 but was still a distant second to witches with 4.2%. You can thank Twilight for the jump in vampire popularity. The NRF says the hardest hit categories this year were nurse costumes, which fell from number five to number 13, and political figures, which didn't even make the list. Political costumes were more popular last year because it was an election year. Here's the list.

- Devil

Spirit Halloween's Popular Costume Predictions
 The predictions for the most popular Halloween costumes are starting to creep in. Spirit Halloween - which recently opened 725 stores across the United States and Canada - claims to be able to predict which costumes will be popular with "scary accuracy." Here are Spirit's predictions for what types of costumes will be popular this year.
