Tyra Banks Seeks Plus-Sized Teen Models
Us reports that Tyra Banks is seeking plus-sized teens for an upcoming modeling competition.
"I've always felt it was my mission to expand the narrow perceptions of beauty," she told Us. "Through America's Next Top Model, True Beauty and The Tyra Show, I challenge industry and universal standards by featuring and celebrating non-traditional beauty, and stressing that true beauty is both inside and out."
Banks said she was unhappy that the term "plus-sized" has such a "negative connotation" in today's society.
The requirements for Tyra's Fiercely Real Teen Model Search are that models have to be a size 12-20 and stand between 5 foot 9 and 6 foot 1 inches tall. You can read more about the requirements here.

Glamour Plans More Nude Photos of Plus-Size Models
The positive feedback that Glamour received from its nude feature of Lizzi Miller on page 194 of its September issue issue has inspired the magazine to run more nude images of large-sized models. The New York Post's Page Six column says Glamour has already photographed several more nude plus-size models for an upcoming editorial feature.
Miller, along with fellow full-figured femmes Kate Dillon, Jennie Runk, Amy Lemons, Crystal Renn, Ashley Graham and Anansa Sims, were photographed-- in the buff -- by Matthias Vriens Friday at Industria Superstudio on Washington Street.
Glamour editor Cindi Leive had promised more plus-size coverage in her interview with Matt Lauer so it is good to see Glamour is following up. They are smart to not ignore the big response that received from the photographer of Lizzi Miller.

Beth Ditto to Design Line for Evans
Drapers reports that Beth Ditto will be designing a fashion line for Evans, a plus-sized UK fashion chain. Evans is part of the Arcadia Group. Drapers says Evans confirmed the Beth Ditto line but would not give details.
Evans-owner the Arcadia Group confirmed the collaboration at it's press day in London this week but did not show any of the range.
Instead Evans teased visitors by showcasing a replica doll of Beth Ditto and promotional postcards featuring the doll dressed in a dice-printed black and white dress and a sequin disco inspired dress.
Beth Ditto's line will debut in July.
