Peek Launches Device For Using Twitter Called TwitterPeek
Peek launched a device called TwitterPeek designed to work solely with Twitter. With TwitterPeek you can tweet, follow, @mention, retweet and direct message with your Twitter friends. Peek says in its Faq that its mobile device is different than tweeting from a cell phone because you won't have data or text message over usage fees.
TwitterPeek is designed for Twitter, so it's easier to use, includes more features, and won't cost you text message or data overages like cell phones and smartphones apps do. "Always on" technology means you never miss a tweet or have to wait for only your last 100 tweets to download. TwitterPeek also runs on its own mobile network, so you don't have to worry about excessive text message or data charges.
Twitterpeek is sold exclusively at Amazon.com. It costs $99 for six months of service and $199 for a lifetime service plan. You can buy it in aqua or grey here on Amazon.com.
End User reports that Peek has cut prices on its Peek Pronto and Peek Classic devices. The price of the handheld gadgets used only for email and texting is lower but the monthly fees which starts at $14.99/mo have not changed.
Recently they dropped the price of their two models, the Peek "Pronto" and the Peek "Classic" to $19.95 and $59.95; down from their previous price tags of $49.95 and $79.95 respectively. Sounds like a pretty good deal on paper, especially for the classic, but we all know that the profit margin in wireless oriented businesses is built around subscriptions.
Peek has received great reviews for ease of use at handling email. You can learn more about it at getpeek.com.
Peekaru Baby Carrier Accrues Snuggie and Sci Fi References
The Peekaru is a fleece baby carrier cover that a person carrying a baby wears over the baby and the baby carrier. There's a little hole where the baby can peek his head out. The Peekaru is generating both science fiction references and Snuggie comparisons. Some are calling it the baby snuggie or the mom-and-baby snuggie. It does resemeble a Snuggie with a place for the baby to peek out. Although the Peekaru is lacking the Snuggie's roomy, oversized sleeves and it's not really a Snuggie without those ridiculous sleeves. The Peekaru can be purchased here from TogetherBe.com for $79.95.
We love getting pedicures. But they aren't quite so much fun in the winter. Either you brave subzero degree weather in thong sandals so your polish doesn't get smudged, or you hang out at the salon forever hoping your toenails dry so you can put on your snow boots. This great new product called Peeky Luxe from Peeky Toes solves the winter pedicure dilemma. Peeky Luxe pedicure socks by Charissa Stuart are made of Italian-spun cashmere and silk.
The toeless socks are made with a single thong that fits between the 1st and 2nd toes. They have arch support and come in Lavender, Laurel Green, Light Blue and Black. You slip on a pair of the socks just before the polish is applied, then put on your flip flops and go on about your day. The socks retail for $60 at
PeekyToes.com, and would make a fab Valentine's Day gift for a female relative or friend.
