Kim Kardashian is leaving no stone unturned in the promotional efforts for her new fragrance. She stopped by the NASCAR race track in Las Vegas - the Las Vegas Motor Speedway - where a pink Kim Kardashian fragrance race car was unveiled. Kim also donned a NASCAR uniform. She said they kept getting mad at her for calling the racing outfit a jumpsuit. Take a look:
The Las Vegas Review Journalreports that veteran driver Mike Bliss crashed Kim Kardashian's pink Chevrolet into the wall on the 47th lap at the NASCAR Sprint Cup. We are confident the vehicle will get a new paint job if there was any damage.

Nascar.com has an interesting article here about the huge media interest and fan support for Danica Patrick. The article says crowds around Danica's "merchandise hauler" dwarf even Dale Earnhardt Jr.'s.
Still think Patrick is a media creation? Tell that to the women walking around the Daytona International Speedway midway wearing jackets adorned with a bright orange No. 7. Tell that to the folks in the infield who have hung a large Danica banner from the roofline of their recreational vehicle. Tell that to the mob that surrounded her race car on the grid before her first Nationwide Series race, or the throng that flocked to her merchandise hauler and made even the group around Dale Earnhardt Jr.'s seem small by comparison.

NASCAR's biggest event, the Daytona 500, is tomorrow. Reports say that demand is slowing because of the recession and scalpers are struggling to sell tickets to the normally red hot event. The Daytona 500 is still expected to sell out but they had to cut ticket prices in order to do it.
For the first time in years, NASCAR's biggest race is struggling to fill every seat in Daytona's massive grandstands, part of the fallout from the nation's economic collapse.
While NASCAR officials still expect a sellout, they had to cut select ticket prices just days before the race to get there.
"This is a fixture in American culture - this sport," NASCAR chairman Brian France said last month. "We have seen tough times before. We're actually optimistic about '09 for a lot of reasons."
NASCAR.com says they had only sold 110,000 of the track's 168,000 seats as of last Friday but still expect to sell every seat. Sports Illustratedsays this could be the start of a tough season for NASCAR.
