Video: Kirstie Alley Gets Snippy With Meredith Vieira
Meredith Vieira interviewed Kirstie Alley, who has a new reality TV show and a new weight loss program called Organic Liaison. Meredith asked Kirstie about the recent reports that Organic Liaison is a front for Scientology and that all profits go to Scientology projects. Kirstie (who is a long time Scientologist) vehemently denied that Scientology is behind the company and got a bit testy about the subject. Here's what she had to say:

Sandra Bullock got a surprise when she visited Meredith Vieira at The Today Show. In celebration of Sandy's Oscar nomination for Best Actress for The Blind Side, Meredith broke out the champagne and chocolates. Always the good sport, Sandy said it was a bit early for her to be drinking, but indulged anyway. She noted that she had always assumed they (Meredith and Matt Lauer) were drunk, anyway. Video: Meredith Vieira and Martha Stewart Have an Apple Bie Bake Off
Martha Stewart and Meredith Vieira had an apple bie baking contest on The Today Show. Meredith used her mother's handwritten recipe and Martha used her recipe which has a homemade crust (Meredith uses store bought pie crust). Matt Lauer is the judge and he gets more and more nervous as he realizes that no matter who he picks, he is going to be in big trouble. You can see Jon Bon Jovi in the background laughing, because it's a very funny clip (who knew Meredith was so competitive about cooking?). So who won? Take a look:
Chefs (and brothers) Matt and Ted Lee have a new book out called The Lee Bros. Simple Fresh Southern: Knockout Dishes with Down-Home Flavor. They appeared on The Today Show to show Matt Lauer and Meredith Vieira how to make some traditional Southern recipes that have been modernized. The brothers cook up Pimiento Cheese Potato Gratin and Caeser Salad With Catfish Croutons. Take a look:

The action news team shot features a youthful Meredith Vieira and a mustachioed Matt Lauer. Al Roker has a horrifying suit on and Ann Curry is working the sideswept bangs look. Mariah Carey did a mini-concert live in Rockefeller Plaza this morning for The Today Show's concert series. In this clip she talks to Meredith Vieira about her new album, Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel, and then sings her hit song "Obsessed." Take a look:
Matt Lauer, Meredith Vieira, Hoda Kotb, Kathie Lee Gifford, Ann Curry and other NBC anchors and personalities reveal their secret pleasures in this funny web video. Not surprisingly, because they are on-air personalities who have to watch their weight, many of the vices involve food: butter, dark chocolate, ribs, ice cream and milkshakes are just a few of the things they dream of and occasionally indulge in when no one's looking. This morning Meredith Vieira's full interview with Susan Boyle aired on The Today Show. Susan talks about how sudden fame hit her like a demolition ball, and it took some getting used to. She also talks about how difficult the fame was at first; she spent five days at Priory health clinic for exhaustion. But she seems quite happy now and she looks great. Take a look:

Meredith Vieira has an exclusive interview with Susan Boyle which will air on July 22 on The Today Show. In this sneak peek of the interview, Susan sports a new hairstyle and makeup which is much more flattering than the one she had before. Meredith compliments her on her new hair to which Susan jokes "I brush up quite well." When asked about her amazing experience, she had this to say: "It's just been unbelievable; it's indescribable. Being plucked from obscurity is a bit like going on a long journey, really; you don't know what's going to happen. You don't know how it's going to end. I don't want it to end... it's just really good."
Susan seems quite happy and self-possessed during the interview. We hope that she gets her wish and that her fantastic journey doesn't end anytime soon. Take a look:
Shia LaBeouf appeared on The Today Show with Meredith Vieira to talk about his monster hit, Transformers 2: Revenge of the Fallen. Shia talked about acting a bit, then was incredibly nice to a fan who was dying to meet him. He seemed genuinely caring.
