He is the country's most stylish eight and a half year old. He is Arlo Weiner, the sartorially bold son of Matthew Weiner, the creator of the hit tv show Mad Men. Arlo demanded a top hat from his parents when he was only three years old and has coordinated his own ensembles since then. Arlo has very strong opinions on style matters. Now he has his second spread in GQ magazine.
Here's what Arlo said about this outfit:
"We were playing mini golf but it was right near a real driving range. Plaid is something you always see on the golf course so I thought these pants worked really well. It was hot that day but I thought the jacket was important because it's the only solid and it brought it all together. And those are real golf shoes. They're actually really comfortable -- it's not like ice skates where you're relieved to take them off."
You simply must see the slideshow of Arlo's favorite looks for fall. He also gives his best tips for layering and his thoughts on sweaters.

On Monday, September 21, Oprah Winfrey is going back in time to the 1960s. Her guests will include Jon Hamm and January Jones of Mad Men. Oprah will wear a dress made by Mad Men costume designer Janie Bryant. The show, which is titled,
"The Oprah Winfrey Show: Oprah Goes Back in Time - The '60s," will feature a 1960s themed set; a performance from "Jersey Boys," the Four Seasons musical; and a studio audience dressed in period costumes. Oprah's Favorite Things will be items that would have been her favorite things in the early 1960s. We can't wait.
One of our favorite episodes of Mad Men this season was episode 3, which featured a surprising amount of singing and dancing. In this absolutely amazing clip, married couple Pete (Vincent Kartheiser) and Trudy (Allison Brie) hit the dance floor when the band starts playing the Charleston. They are just fantastic. Watch Don Draper's (Jon Hamm's) face when he realizes that Pete really can cut a rug with the best of them. It's just hilarious -- and so unexpected. Everyone is trying to impress the boss, but Pete and Trudy steal the show with their moves, which are straight out of The Great Gatsby. Take a look:
The episode stirred up so much fan reaction that the producers made a clip explaining the episode, which also features Joan Holloway (Christina Hendricks) playing the accordian and singing in French during a dinner party at her apartment. Vincent Kartheiser also explains where he got his mad Charleston skills. Take a look:

January Jones Talks Betty Draper and Mad Men Season 3
In the season two finale of Mad Men, we saw Betty Draper (played by January Jones) act in a most uncharacteristic manner. January Jones talked to E! about that shocking last episode and why Betty did what she did. It's interesting that January said it was the very first time that she had questioned the show's creator, Matthew Weiner, about what he had written. Spoilers are ahead, so if you haven't seen Season 2 yet, take a pass on this fascinating video clip:
Mad Men's Jon Hamm appeared on The Tonight Show and talked to Conan O'Brien about his love for baseball and his time working on
30 Rock. Jon described meeting Tracy Morgan the first time and how surreal it was. Tracy says hello, asks if he's the director, and when Jon says no, he's an actor Tracy asks him "do you know who my biological mother is?" "Uh no, Tracy, I don't." "Leslie Uggams....do you know who my biological father is?" "No, Tracy," says Jon. "Burt Bacharach." Jon excused himself saying he had to go to a read-through. Apparently, Tracy loves to pull this on the guest stars.
Jon also revealed that his churchgoing, elderly grandmother from Southern Missouri is not a big fan of Mad Men, sayhing "Her feedback was, 'I don't think you're making very good decisions,' which I think distilled things pretty nicely. I think that's going on the season three DVD case." Season Three of Mad Men premieres Sunday August 16 on AMC and we can't wait to see it. Take a look:

Mad Men's John Hamm, who plays Don Draper, and John Slattery, who plays Roger Sterling, answer fans' questions about their characters, their off-screen friendship and what's ahead for the ad executives at Sterling Cooper. The two are pretty funny together: we just love them both. Take a look:

Med Men Costume Designer Janie Bryant Possibly Getting Own Fashion Line
Rumors are swirling that Mad Men costume designer Janie Bryant may be getting her own fashion line. She told Glamour's Slaves to Fashion in an interview that she's working on some things but can't say what.
Slaves to Fashion: Can we expect to see a line of clothing come out of this, or a collection inspired by the show? What kinds of projects do you have going on for the future?
Janie Bryant: I'm working on some things right now...I hate to be so mysterious but I can't really say! It would have my name attached to it though.
The Glamour interview also says Janie Bryant creates 200 costumes per episode. We hope this rumor is true. We love the show and the 1960s attire. Janie Bryant deserves a lot of credit for making the show feel as real as possible. Here's a video about costume design on Mad Men. In it January Jones says she thinks Betty Draper reads Vogue. Take a look:
Mad Men's John Hamm guest stars on 30 Rock as Liz Lemon's (Tina Fey's) new neighbor, Drew. In this short clip, she finally meets her neighbor for the first time, hoping that he's not some weirdo. He apologizes when he meets her, saying "I'm sorry I smell like frosting, but I love to bake." We love frosting. So does Liz, if her incoherent response is any indication: "I want to go to there." Mad Men creator and executive producer Matthew Weiner will be returning for at least two more seasons of Mad MenreportsVariety.
Details of the pact were sketchy Friday, but it is said to cover Weiner's services on "Mad Men" for the show's third and fourth seasons as well as other TV development. It also includes a component for a feature project through Lionsgate.
Weiner's negotiations with Lionsgate became highly public last year after the showrunner let it be known that his contract on the show ran out after the second season, which wrapped in October.
Weiner sought a hefty pay raise for himself and in the show's budget after all of the pop culture buzz, kudos and critical acclaim the period drama has garnered.
We are glad the creator of the show is returning. It's hard to see how Mad Men would have been the same without him. Many cast members have been quoted as saying there's no Mad Men without Weiner. Christina Hendricks, who plays Joan Holloway on Mad Men, was quoted last week as saying, "There is no show without Matt. I have complete confidence that it will be taken care of."
