Kanye West and his girlfriend, model Amber Rose, wore lots of fur to the Louis Vuitton menswear show in Paris. PETA criticized the couple for wearing fur. PETA VP Dan Matthews said, "Kanye can't help making himself look like an idiot, whether at an awards show or a fashion show. "He and his girlfriend look like pathetic creatures from a shabby roadside zoo."
Kanye West has posted an all-caps, profanity-laden, race-baiting, at times incoherent pro-fur rant on his blog in response to all the recent criticism he's been getting. In his post, Kanye says he wears fur because he is "fearless." He also criticizes fashion bloggers. We've removed all the capital letters because we find them annoying:

Hilary Alexander of The Telegraph went backstage and then to the front row before the Spring 2010 Haute Couture Chanel show in Paris. She chatted with Karl Lagerfeld about his inspiration for the collection, with Anna Wintour about how retail is doing, with Alexa Chung about her clogs (horribly uncomfortable from all accounts) and with Amber Rose and Kanye West. Amber was wearing a full length knit Chanel gown which featured a hood. But enough about that. (In fact, we hope we never see or hear of such a thing again in this century.)
The show's inspiration was "neon baroque" but the color palette was muted, with lots of silver, white, cream and palest pink. There was no gold whatsoever in the collection, not even in the buttons. The models wore teased high hair straight out of the court of Marie Antoinette, with the addition of grey streaks and fabric embellishments. The models wore Rougee Allure Lipstick in Genial, which will be available in the Chanel Summer 2010 makeup collection and Le Vernis Nail Colour in Silver. We love silver, but we think Karl got a little carried away by the end of the show with the groom wearing a silver lame suit. Take a look:
Keri Hilson has two Grammy nominatiosn this year. She's been nominated for Best New Artist. Her collaboration with Kanye West and Ne-Yo on "Knock You Down" has also been nominated for a Grammy. Keri Hilson says of the two nominatiosn she thinks Best New Artist is her best chance but she admits that "you never know." Take a look:

Taylor Swift and Bill Hader film a promo for Saturday Night Live in which the Kanye West incident comes up. Taylor is doing the promo when Bill looks at his phone and says "Kanye just called; he thinks Beyonce should host instead." It's pretty funny. Take a look:
Taylor Swift will be hosting and performing on the November 7th episode of Saturday Night Live (SNL). Taylor says there are "definitely some hilarious things" that have happened to her recently that she thinks will be "pretty substantial skits." It will be impossible for them to avoid some sort of Kanye West skit.
MTV reports that Beyonce has finally talked about the Kanye West incident at the VMAs. She talked with O: The Oprah Magazine's editor Gayle King about the unusual incident at the VMAs when Kanye West bursted on stage during Taylor Swift's acceptance speech and declared Beyonce's "Single Ladies (Put A Ring On It)" video to be one of the greatest of all time. Beyonce says Kanye told her before the award that she would "have this award."
"Well, I knew his intentions, and I knew he was standing up for art; and he told me before, when they said the nominees, he's like, 'You have this award,'" Beyonce told O: The Oprah Magazine editor Gayle King after accepting her award. "And when they didn't call my name he was, like, completely shocked. And when he walked on the stage, I was like, 'No, no, no!' and then he spoke, and I was like, 'Oh, no, no, no!'
"But in the end, it ended up being a great night, and Taylor Swift did get her moment - and I didn't have to make an acceptance speech," she added, laughing.
It is no surprise to learn that Beyonce was horrified by Kanye's behavior because you could tell by the shocked expression on her face. Kanye has apologized several times for his behavior. Kanye's VMA interruption has become and Internet meme with online jokes showing Kanye interrupting events throughout history and telling other award winners that someone else is better. It's not clear what impact it will have on Kanye's career but a concert tour with Lady Gaga and Kayne West, that was planned last November, was recently canceled over "creative differences."

If Kanye West didn't already know he was wrong for interrupting Taylor Swift's acceptance speech during the VMAs, he should now that the President has condemned his behvaior. President Obama called Kanye West a "jackass" in a remark he thought was off the record. The comment was first tweeted by ABC reporter Terry Moran. Terry Moran later removed his tweet. ABC has since apologized for posting the remark that was supposed to be off the record. This afternooon TMZ posted an audio clip of the conversation where President Obama discussed the incident at the VMAs with reporters.
In the audio clip, President Obama says "the young lady [Taylor Swift] seems like a perfectly nice person. She's getting her award. What's he doing up there? He's a jackass."

Taylor Swift Talks About Kanye West Interruption on The View
Taylor Swift was on The View today. On the show she said she was "rattled" by the incident when Kanye stormed the stage. During the show Taylor said Kanye West hadn't contacted her yet to apologize. TMZ says that Taylor Swift received a phone call from Kanye West after her segment on The View.

Last night Kanye West appeared on The Jay Leno Show and apologized a third time for ruining Taylor Swift's big moment at the VMAs. This time, Kanye sounds more sincere in his regret for what he did. He said he'd like to apologize to Taylor in person and teared up when Jay asked him what his mother (who is deceased) would have said about his behavior at the VMAs. He became a bit incoherent after that, but it's clear that the idea of his mother's disapproval was upsetting to him. We think he needs to call Taylor directly, ASAP. And send flowers. And maybe a nice apology gift. Take a look:
Kanye West to Offer Another Apology on Jay Leno's New Show
Kanye West will be making another apology for interrupting Taylor Swift at the VMAs. This time it will be on Jay Leno's new show and not on his blog. Kanye's earlier apologies can be found here and here. Kanye needs to apologize again because everyone - including the President - is mad at him. Here is a teaser of Kanye's apology released by NBC. Jay Leno asked him what his mother would have thought about what he did. Kanye's mother died in 2007 at age 58. Kanye looks emotional in this video preview. Sadly, the clip ends before Kanye actually says anything.

Kanye West Steals Microphone From Taylor Swift at VMAs
Talor Swift's music video for her song "You Belong With Me" won the Moonman in the Best Female Video category at MTV's 2009 VMAs. Shortly into her acceptance speech, Taylor Swift was rudely interrupted by Kanye West who grabbed her microphone and declared that Beyonce's "Single Ladies (Put A Ring On It)" video was one of the best videos ever made. Taylor didn't know what to do and Beyonce looked horrified. Here is a video that shows what happened. Take a look:
Jessica Alba filmed a promo video for The Jay Leno Show in which she cooks Jay pancakes. Lots of pancakes. Jay's new primetime show premieres on Monday, September 14 at 10 p.m. Eastern time. Jay's guests for the premiere are Jerry Seinfeld, Rihanna, Kanye West and Jay-Z.
