SNL Skit: Kathie Lee and Hoda, With Zach Galifianakis
Saturday Night Live once again took aim at Kathie Lee Gifford and Hoda Kotb (well, mostly just Kathie Lee) on the show last night. Kristen Wiig does a great Kathie Lee impression; she has her mannerisms down pat, including her putdowns of Hoda. In this skit, Kathie Lee is shown enjoying a large box of wine and inviting a stalker (Gus Galifianakis) onto the set to make a love connection with Hoda. Take a look:
Kim Kardashian co-hosted The Today Show yesterday with Hoda Kotb, subbing in for Kathie Lee Gifford. Kim says that she and Reggie Bush are not engaged and are taking things slow. She says she's been married before and she doesn't want to make any more mistakes. Kim says she and Reggie are very much in love and are very serious, though. Kim denies the tabloid reports that the couple had a tiff after the Super Bowl because Kim was stealing his thunder. She also talks about her diet and how hard it is to stay away from the beignets at Cafe du Monde in New Orleans. Take a look:

Emmy winner Kristin Chenoweth appeared on The Today Show to talk about her new Lifetime movie, The Twelve Men of Christmas, (which actually sounds more like a Cinemax film) and her current gig off-Broadway in Love, Loss and What I Wore. Kristin is a kick. Take a look:
Video: Dr. Patricia Wexler Talks Skin Anti-Aging Regimens
Dermatologist to the stars Dr. Patricia Wexler talks to Kathie Lee and Hoda about the best skin regimen to keep your skin looking youthful and healthy. She doesn't mention it, but Kathie Lee reminds viewers that Dr. Wexler has her own line of products available at Bath and Body
Works. Take a look:
Halloween parties aren't just for kids. Kathie Lee and Hoda learn how to make some ghoulish adult beverages which are just perfect for Halloween. Maureen Petrovsky, author of The Wine Club whips up a Blood Orange Harvest Cocktail, which must be pretty strong because Kathie Lee was snuggling up to Chewbacca after trying one. Next up was the Eyeball Martini, which we are definitely trying out this weekend. For those with a sweet tooth, there was Halloween Punch in a Pumpkin which uses Midori liquor and features a dry ice serving suggestion and some Pumpkin Pie Milkshakes.
What's really funny is that the song from the scene at the Mos Eisley Cantina in the very first Star Wars movie is playing in the background.

Video: The Latest Kitchen Gadgets to Make Grilling Easier
Kathie Lee and Hoda get the scoop on all the latest kitchen gadgets, especially those that really help with grilling. So many kitchen gadgets are expensive and don't really help the home cook. But Chris Kimball, host of TV's America's Test Kitchen and editor of Cook's Illustrated knows his gadgets and won't steer you wrong. Take a look:
Dr. Debra Wattenberg talks to Hoda Kotb about beauty myths and what anti-aging and beauty treatments really work. Dr. Wattenberg says that just because a product is a labeled "all natural" doesn't make it better. What's important is what works, whether it was made in a lab or not. She says the FDA does not regulate the term "natural." Another myth she debunks is that if you apply your facial products in an upward direction that it will help reduce wrinkles: it won't. She does say that Latisse really works, and grows eyelashes, and creams won't get rid of stretch marks. Take a look:
Kathie Lee and Hoda are in San Antonio with The Today Show and decided to take a lesson in riding the mechanical bull. The operator set it on the lowest, slowest setting it could go on, but they still got bucked off in just a few seconds. Maybe they could have a few margaritas and try again. Take a look:
Video: Maria Silaeva of Cirque du Soleil Performs for Kathie Lee and Hoda

Jill Martin of US Weekly takes a walk through the fashion statements made by Michael Jackson over the years. Jill says that his designers had a lifesize mannequin made of Michael, and that they created tens of thousands of outfits for him. He pioneered the idea of wearing stage costumes in real life. Remember the photo of Michael in a sequined military jacket and sequined glove standing next to Nancy and Ronald Reagan? It was surreal. A new incarnation of that jacket recently showed up on the Balmain runway: Beyonce and other stars have been seen wearing it. Take a look:
Gymnast Christopher Harrison shows Kathie Lee and Hoda some poses from his antigravity yoga practice. Antigravity yoga uses a swingset-looking contraption to allow you to release your inner Cirque de Soleil performer. It actually looks like a lot of fun. We want one of those antigravity yoga things right now. Although we have no idea where we would put it. Take a look:
You can find out more about antigravity yoga at the official
website.
We love when Kathie Lee and Hoda do the Ambush Makeover segments. This time they first chose a 66 year old who had never dyed her hair and let hair genius Louis Licari do his thing. Next they took a naval officer who spent all her time in uniform and had never worn makeup and gave her a head to toe makeover. Both transformations are amazing. Take a look:
Jill Martin tells Kathie Lee and Hoda about how to dress like you're on the red carpet, for less. She analyzes the red carpet looks of Courtney Cox-Arquette, Brooke Shields, Eva Longoria, Demi Moore and Halle Berry and shows how to duplicate the look for much less. Take a look:
