Giant Tree House Partners With Sanrio for Hello Kitty Gardening Products
Giant Tree House has partnered with Sanrio to launch a line of Hello Kitty gardening tools. The prices for the kids gardening tools will range from $2.99 to $14.99. The products include rakes, flower pots, windwsill garden, brooms, shovels, trowel, cultivator, watering can and garden gripping gloves. The tools will also be available in sets like the one pictured above.
Hello Kitty iPhone Case, USB Drive, Earbuds at Zales
Zales is carrying an anniversary collection of Hello Kitty jewelry from the Simmons Jewelry Company. The line includes a necklaces, earrings and blingy Hello Kitty accessories and electronics. A Hello Kitty iPhone case ($195) and USB flash drive ($125) are pictured above. The USB flash drive can hold only 2 MB so you are paying for cuteness and not storage capacity with this device. Upper Deck to Launch Hello Kitty Miniatures and Trading Card Game
The Upper Deck Company has entered into a new licensing agreement with Sanrio. The trading card company will be producing a line of Hello Kitty collectible miniatures and a stickers trading card game (TCG) starting next spring. The first release is scheduled to hit the market in March 2010.
"We are so excited to be adding such a global icon to our product portfolio," said Margeaux Sullivan, Upper Deck's Hello Kitty brand manager. "Hello Kitty has been charming girls of all ages around the world for more than three decades and we look forward to helping her celebrate her 35th anniversary."
Targeted to young girls and tweens, the TCG will include collectible figures, stickers and trading cards that will appeal to Hello Kitty fans. Upper Deck is planning to issue three concurrent releases next year.
It's not the first time Lady Gaga has worn Hello Kitty. She also wore a Hello Kitty dress during a tv appearance from her Japan trip earlier this year.

Razor USA is launching a Hello Kitty model of its scooters under a licensing agreement with Sanrio. Playthingsreports that the Hello Kitty Razor A kick scooter comes with a small Hello Kitty accessory bag. The new scooter will be available at select retailers this holiday. The Razor USA and Sanrio websites will also sell the scooter.
"We are honored to be Razor's first licensed partner," said Janet Hsu, President of Hello Kitty licensor Sanrio Global Consumer Products. "Girls of all ages will have fun on the Hello Kitty Razor A kick scooter and it makes a great addition to our ever-growing portfolio of lifestyle products for our fans."
Playthings says a Pocket Mod miniature electric Euro-style scooter and an E100 electric scooter wil be added to the Razo line in 2010.
Three Apples is an Exhibition Celebrating Hello Kitty
Hello Kitty's ongoing 35th anniversary continues with Sanrio's introduction of Three Apples. Three Apples is an exhibition of all things Hello Kitty running from October 23 to November 15 at the Royal/T in Culver City, California. Royal/T is a 10,000 square foot Japanese-inspired art exhibition space, retail store and "cosplay" maid cafe. This is the first time that Sanrio has produced an event for the Hello Kitty fans in North America. The exhibition will be open to the public free of charge.
Three Apples was named after Hello Kitty's weight, as listed in her official bio. The exhibition features a lineup of over 80 celebrated artists, who have been invited to interpret their creative vision of Hello Kitty in original works that will be on display and for sale. The art exhibition at Three Apples will be curated by Jamie Rivadeneira, owner of JapanLA, a Los Angeles boutique that specializes in "cute" Japanese and American products. A portion of the proceeds from the sale of the artwork will benefit L.A. Works.
Adorable Hello Kitty Mimobot USB Flash Drives Coming in September
Mimoco has partnered with Sanrio to create a line of Mimobot USB flash drives for Hello Kitty's 35th Anniversary. The website says the Hello Kitty drives will arrive in early September. The Hello Kitty mimobot pictured above is absolutely adorable.
Mimoco's crossover collaboration with Mimoco will also expand to include other Sanrio friends including Badtz-Maru, My Melody, Kuromi, Keroppi, Chococat and TuxedoSam.
Asics Partners With Sanrio for Hello Kitty Sneakers
Asics has partnered with Sanrio for these cute Hello Kitty sneakers. The sneakers contain images of Hello Kitty and some of her fiends too. The sneakers will go on sale November 1st on Sanrio.com and at Sanrio stores in New York City, San Francisco and Hawaii.

Hello Kitty Celebrates 35th Anniversary With Hello Kitty Colors
Hello Kitty will celebrate her 35th anniversary this Fall with activities, festivities and new product launches. The worldwide theme for Hello Kitty's 35th Anniversary is "Hello Kitty Colors." Sanrio, the company that licenses Hello Kitty, says the colors convey the "essence of Hello Kitty that has kept her relevant and appealing to devotees for so long." The colors include red for friendship, pink for cute, yellow for heartful, green for wish and lavender for sweet. The message of each color will be reflected on her trademark bow.
"Hello Kitty colors the world and captures the hearts and imaginations of so many people," said Janet Hsu, President of Sanrio Global Consumer Products. "The theme of Hello Kitty's Anniversary is inspired by her legacy and the loving qualities that have resonated with fans from around the world for the past 35 years."
Stores around the world will carry Hello Kitty's 35th anniversary-themed merchandise beginning in September. Hundreds of products affiliated with the milestone will roll out this year, including apparel, jewelry and limited edition collectibles.
