Kate Gosselin Says She's Kate Clean Slate
Kate Gosselin is starting off the year with another new hairdo. She's featured on the cover of the new issue of People magazine. This time Kate's using hair extensions. You can read about Kate's 20-hour makeover here. You can see Kate's last two hair styles here.
"It's good to have hair again," the 34-year-old reality TV mom tells People. "I never thought I'd have short hair for as long as I did. I feel like this is a fresh start, a fresh me, a fresh life... I've got it. I am now Kate Clean Slate."
It's amazing she's still getting covers despite all the new celebrity stories that have broken early in the new year. Kate Gosselin is also trying to land a new tv show deal this year. One of the rumors is that it may be a dating show - see here.

Jaclyn Smith Launches Wig Line
The ever-gorgeous Jaclyn Smith (who we loved to watch on Shear Genius) is launching a new wig line. The new line will have hair volumizers, which integrate with a woman's natural hair to provide volume and lift, to falls, clip-ons, headband styles and full-coverage wigs.
Jaclyn explained her latest business venture: "During my career in Hollywood I have had the benefits of working with some of the world's great hair stylists such as Jose Eber. I would often use wigs and hair enhancement pieces in my movie roles. Today's stars use all kinds of hair additions to create their glamorous images -- a short bob one day and long tresses the next. I wanted to find a company that would make these hair fashion choices available and affordable for all women. With help from my friend Jose Eber, we have made that possible. From this idea came my new hair products: STYLE by Jaclyn Smith."

Paris Hilton Launches Hair Extension Line
Move over, Jessica Simpson: there's a new Hair Extension Queen in town. Paris Hilton has teamed up with Sally Beauty Supply, the largest specialty retailer of professional beauty supplies in the world, to bring her version of hair extensions to the world. Clipin-Go by Paris Hilton come in ten hair shades and will be available exclusively at Sally Beauty Supply stores.
"I'm thrilled to work with Sally Beauty on my own line of hair extensions," says Paris Hilton. "My goal was to bring myself and my personality into this project. I have been wearing extensions for years and there is nothing out there like this product. We used the best quality extensions and they just look fabulous -- and beautiful hair is the ultimate accessory." Paris also says that she's shopped at Sally's since she was a young girl and because of the chain's national presence.
Hilton's Clipin-Go extensions are made of modacrylic hair which is 18 inches in length, although there are plans to expand the line with different lengths and styles. The extensions retail for $79.99. We say: if for some reason you are in need of some inexpensive modacrylic hair extensions, you're in luck.

Kansas.com reports that the popularity of wigs and hair extensions is growing thanks to pop stars like Britney Spears, Christina Aguilera, Beyonce Knowles and Lil' Kim all frequently wearing them. Fashion statements from these celebs often ignite trends among the general public.
