World's Largest Cupcake Weighs 150 Pounds

Worlds Largest Cupcake

A 150-pound cupcake, displayed to visitors at Mall of America, was certified by Guinness World Records as the world's largest cupcake. The cupcake was created as part of the Mall's celebration of SpongeBob SquarePants' 10th anniversary. The cupcake's final weight was measured at 150.7 pounds, including 15 pounds of fudge filling and 60 pounds of yellow icing. It stood 12 inches tall and 24 inches wide. A candle topped the creation, bringing the total height to 4 feet. The cupcake's final size yielded 1,500 servings.

"I am pleased to welcome this fun and creative achievement into the Guinness World Records family," said Danny Girton, Jr., Guinness World Records adjudicator. "Only three percent of all record attempts are successful. Considering that this is cakes.com's first record attempt this achievement is even more remarkable."

World's Largest Pair of Jeans Made in Croatia

A pair of jeans as large as six tennis courts is the world's largest pair of jeans. The huge pair of jeans was made in Croatia by the Cocka Jeans Fashion Project.
"We've made the world's largest pair of jeans!" the Cockta Jeans Fashion project said on its website.

"People were bringing in their old jeans... and sponsors were immediately giving money for humanitarian purposes," project head Boris Juric told national television.

The denims were put on display in Croatia's capital Zagreb on Saturday after they were assembled from 8,023 unwanted pairs and auctioned off over the last few months.
The jeans have a leg length of 45 meters and a width of 34 meters. You can see photos of the enormous jeans here and here.
