Toy Story 3's Stretch is a Purple Octopus

Toy Story 3 Stretch

Here is another toy from the upcoming Toy Story 3 movie. The latest character from the film is a purple octopus named Stretch. Stretch is described as a toy with sticky suckers that will slowly climb down after being thrown high up on a wall. Stretch is voiced by actress Whoopi Goldberg in the film.
Stretch is a fun-loving under-the-sea octopus friend that shines in glittery purple. Kids can count her eight rubbery legs and dozens of sticky suckers that are sure to stand up to rough-and-tumble play and extreme stretching. Toss her high on the wall and watch her climb her way down! Clean in mild soap solution to remove dust and lint.
Here is a rotating view of Stretch.

Taj Mahal Palace in Mumbai Reopens Three Restaurants

Wasabi by Morimoto Taj Mahal

The Taj Mahal Palace and Tower in Mumbai continues to recovery from the Mumbai terrorist attacks in 2008. Three of the five star luxury hotel's restaurants reopened at the end of last month. They include the Wasabi by Morimoto, Harbour Bar and the Golden Dragon.

The Wasabi restaurant offers authentic Japanese cuisine. The old menu has been retained and 14 new dishes have been added, including new kinds of sushi, salads, cold dishes and an authentic Japanese Curry. The restaurant has also introduced 12 new varieties of Japanese rice wine.

The new menu at the Golden Dragon includes 20 different kinds of Dimsums.
The Dimsum with Caviar, will entice even the most reluctant palate, while the Dimsum with soup, can actually be drunk with a straw first! The Peking duck gently cooking in the open kitchen oven will tempt the guest with its aromas. Six grain noodles, cumin lamb, steamed sea bass in chilly mustard sauce are some of the other additions to the menu.

A true Sichuan meal is always accompanied with tea that is perfectly paired with the foods. The Golden Dragon offers around 8 different varieties of the teas in the menu. To make the meal truly exclusive the Golden Dragon will serves its meals in Narumi crockery, with gold brush strokes and will encourage guests to use delicate ivory and wooden chopsticks with hints of embedded oyster shell.
A photograph of the Wasabi restaurant is pictured above and a photo of a table at the Golden Dragon restaurant is pictured below. It is good to see the restaurants are back up and running following the 2008 attacks.

Christina Hendricks' Husband Blasts New York Times Over Photoshopped Image

Photo of Christina Hendricks

Christina Hendricks' husband Geoffrey Arend was very unhappy about the cheap shots Cathy Horyn of The New York Times took at his wife. Cathy blasted the pale peach ruffled Christian Siriano gown Christina wore to the Golden Globes, approvingly quoting some anonymous stylist as saying "You don't put a big girl in a big dress. That's rule number one." The commentary ran with a photo of Christina that had been photoshopped to make her look fifty pounds heavier than she is. Cathy later admitted the photo had been altered, and replaced it on the site. She then claimed that the photo had been "slightly distorted inadvertently due to an error during routine processing." People reports:
At a SAG awards after party, Arend stopped to defend his wife to People. "I was just upset about the whole Golden Globes dress thing. I thought she looked so gorgeous. And that New York Times blogger saying that... It's so ridiculous."

*****

"What was nice was seeing the entire internet come after that blogger. That was really cool. It was the first time I saw just a solid block of 'You're crazy! What's wrong with you? You should be ashamed of yourself!' [in the comments.] And honestly, the Grey Lady should be ashamed of themselves to print a picture like that, that they widened!"
Christina told People that she loved the gown and that she thought she looked gorgeous that night. We agree.

Prince Writes Song for the Minnesota Vikings

Prince wrote and recorded a new song about the Minnesota Vikings called "Purple and Gold" after watching them beat the Dallas Cowboys last weekend. It may have been the colors that inspired Prince.
Prince said he hadn’t seen the Vikings play in a very long time, until he went to the game against the Dallas Cowboys last week.

"I saw the future," said Prince.

He said he went home that night, wrote the song, "Purple and Gold," and said the song came easy and fast.

The Vikings love it and plan to put it on their website.
You can find the lyrics here. You can hear the song in the clip below.

Which Golden Globes Actress Got Stuck With a $10,000 Bill for a Ruined Dress?

Rob Shuter at Pop Eater says that the rain at the Golden Globes is costing at least one actress quite a bit of money. The celebs have to sign contracts making them responsible for their gowns and jewelry if something happens to them. Well, many of those couture gowns were absolutely ruined because of the pouring rain, and lack of tenting over the red carpet (that was an epic logistics fail, by the way).
Let me tell you a little secret. All those gorgeous dresses that you see your favorite stars wearing on the red carpet at all the awards show are borrowed. Yes, they are on loan, which means they need to be returned in the same condition in which they were received. After Sunday's washout, most of the clothes were damp and soiled rags.

"These designer dresser are not made to go outside. They are fragile works of art, many of which are stored in climate-controlled vaults. Now they are destroyed and the stars are responsible for the cost of replacing them," an A-list stylist (whose client has been left with a bill for $10,000!) told me.
So who is the A-list stylist and the actress who got stuck with the bill? Rachel Zoe dressed four women at the Globes: Jennifer Garner, Kate Hudson, Paula Patton and Cameron Diaz (who all looked fabulous, by the way). Cameron and Kate were very carefully holding their gowns off the carpet during interviews. It's not Jennifer Aniston: she skipped the red carpet to avoid the ruinous rain. And it's not Julia Roberts: she wisely wore a short, vintage YSL dress. If anything got ruined, it was her shoes.

Nicole Chavez usually dresses Rachel Bilson and Kristen Bell and Tara Swennen has styled Kristen Stewart and Angie Harmon in the past, but we don't think either of them are the tipster. Jennifer Rade was doing commentary at the Globes, so we don't think it was one of her clients. Angelina Jolie wasn't even at the Globes.

Could it be Chloe Sevigny? If it is, she needs to forward the bill to NBC because it was an NBC employee who tore her Valentino gown.

2010 Golden Globes: Lea Michele

Lea Michele of Glee looked really beautiful at the Golden Globes on Sunday night. Lea wore a stunning black Oscar de la Renta gown which featured a strapless fitted bodice, a full skirt and lace overlay. She accessorized with 83-carat emerald and 3-carat diamond drop earrings and a 16-carat diamond and platinum bracelet, both by Chopard (you can see up close shots of the jewelry at People).

Lea was nominated for Best Performance by an Actress In A Television Series - Comedy Or Musical, but she lost out to Toni Collette of United States of Tara. TV Guide Network's Carrie Ann Inaba and Chris Harrison interviewed Lea on the red carpet about how her life has changed since being cast on Glee. Take a look:

Video: Clumsy Oaf Rips Chloe Sevigny's Valentino Gown at the Golden Globes

Photo of Chloe Sevigney

At the Golden Globes Sunday night, Chloe Sevigny won Best Performance by an Actress in a Supporting Role - Series for her role in Big Love. She was thrilled to win, but as she was making her way to the stage the clumsy oaf who escorted her up the steps stepped on her lilac chiffon Valentino couture gown and ripped it. Chloe was so horrified that she gave a little scream, and repeated as if in shock "I can't believe he just ripped my dress!" before she launched into her acceptance speech. This film is evidence that it wasn't Chloe's fault; hopefully, the couture house will be forgiving. But that guy needs to be fired from stage duty. Chloe accessorized her look with diamond earrings by Buccellati, a vintage ring by Stephen Russell, and a clutch by Roger Vivier. Take a look:
