Venus Williams is the Face of New Tide Febreze Product
Tennis star Venus Williams is the Face of a new Tide and Febreze product called Tide plus Febreze Freshness Sport. Venus Williams will be featured prominently in a promotional contest that challenges consumers to design a tennis outfit for tournament play. The winning look will inspire an outfit that Williams will wear at a major tennis tournament in 2010.
Venus Williams says, "Knowing that my clothing has to meet the demands of my game, I always try to blend technological innovation and my personal style in the looks I design for practice and for tournament play. I use performance fabrics frequently in my designs--they're great for keeping me cool and dry during my toughest matches, but keeping the fibers clean and fresh can be a challenge."

Product Review: New Febreze Fabric Refresher
We've already admitted our passion for Febreze Allergen Reducer: we go through the stuff by the gallon during ragweed season (we got hooked after we saw our veterinarian had a bottle in every exam room). But we recently tried out samples of the latest Febreze product: the new and improved Febreze Fabric Refresher: this one's for the air and for fabrics. The scents are light and not overwhelming: the "Nose" among us pronounced approval of the Lavender Vanilla and Comfort fragrance that we tried out.
The bottle has been improved so it doesn't drip and doesn't make that "quacking" noise. That noise never bothered us when we spritzed away, but apparently it drove some people crazy. The new Febreze is quiet and dripless. We have this vision in our heads of an entire team of lab-coated scientists madly spraying Febreze out of hundreds of different bottle prototypes while a computer analyzed each prototype for sound quality, leaking and other things that the Powers That Be at Febreze have declared undesirable.
We read an article in The New York Times about how modern industry has created products that didn't exist twenty years ago. Fabric refresher is one of those new products. And boy, are we glad they invented it. It makes us happy.

Febreze's New Candles
 We've been using Febreze Allergen Reducer spray ever since we saw a bottle of it in our veterinarian's office. This stuff is the greatest for helping get pet allergens off fabrics and reducing allergens in the air. Given happiness with our first Febreze product, we were more than happy to try out something new.
Febreze is expanding its product line: this month it's introducing a line of odor-eliminating candles. The candles come is six scents: Meadows & Rain, Linen & Sky, Apple Spice & Delight, Spring & Renewal, and Vanilla & Refresh. They come in a minimalist glass container that we like. Each candle has a scented candle wrapped around a core candle that eliminates odors. The candles aren't overpowering -- you know how we hate that -- and really seemed to work quickly to eliminate the smell of a cooking disaster (hey, it happens).
Each candle has 30 hours of burn time and retails for under $8. They are available at all major grocery retailers. If you like Febreze products, they have a lot of coupons and special offers on the website.
