A lot of people use the Black Friday to Cyber Monday deal period to buy gifts for themselves or for the family, such as big electronics, like an HD TV or a new computer. It is also a great time to buy toys as a discount for holiday gifts while they are also still easy to find. One example is the current discount on Elmo Tickle Hands. Amazon.com, Toysrus.com and Walmart.com each have them for $20, which is a good discount from the MSRP of $29.99.
Elmo Helps Government Convince Kids to Wash Their Hands

The St. Elmo's Fire movie which starred Emilio Estevez, Rob Lowe, Andrew McCarthy, Demi Moore, Judd Nelson, Ally Sheedy and Mare Winningham is going to be remade as a tv series according to The Hollywood Reporter. They are using the idea as a way to kick-off a new Friends type of show.
The series version will use the movie as a takeoff point and as an inspiration as it introduces six new friends: three boys and three girls.
What will remain is the setting -- Georgetown and St. Elmo's Bar & Restaurant, now called St. Elmo's Bar & Grill, where the friends hang out. And if the set-up looks a little bit like "Friends," that's OK with Bucatinsky.
"I feel it is time to re-create 'Friends' in the hourlong genre and feel like this is the perfect opportunity," he said.
Grace and his Sargent Hall Prods. producing partner Gordon Kaywin, who also serves as an exec producer, got the idea to do a contemporary TV series based on "Fire" when the two came across the movie on TV.
A new Friends type of show has a good chance of connection with a new group of young viewers but it will need a great cast like Friends had.

The hands vibrate and make giggling noises when they are touched to any surface. The hands will be less expensive than the Elmo dolls. They are expected to retail for $29.99. There will also be a dance the interactive hands can perform called the Tickle Hand Groove that won't be fully revealed until the release date in August, 2009. I4U says Elmo's Tickle Hands come with a DVD that describes the dance.
