Actress Chloe Sevigny covers the April 2010 issue of Elle UK magazine. Chloe was Elle UK's style advisor last year. Chloe talked to Elle UK about Hollywood fame, aging and men.
On Fame: "I never really embraced the [Hollywood] community. I remember meeting an actress on the up who I really admire, who said to me, 'I might not be the queen of Hollywood, but I'm definitely in the court.' I would never even begin to think that way."
On Age: "Getting old doesn't bother me at all. Well, other than the baby pressure. I do want to have a baby."
On Men: "I want to be worshipped and adored, but then again I also love to be ignored. It's the same old, same old..."

Which Golden Globes Actress Got Stuck With a $10,000 Bill for a Ruined Dress?
Rob Shuter at Pop Eater says that the rain at the Golden Globes is costing at least one actress quite a bit of money. The celebs have to sign contracts making them responsible for their gowns and jewelry if something happens to them. Well, many of those couture gowns were absolutely ruined because of the pouring rain, and lack of tenting over the red carpet (that was an epic logistics fail, by the way).
Let me tell you a little secret. All those gorgeous dresses that you see your favorite stars wearing on the red carpet at all the awards show are borrowed. Yes, they are on loan, which means they need to be returned in the same condition in which they were received. After Sunday's washout, most of the clothes were damp and soiled rags.
"These designer dresser are not made to go outside. They are fragile works of art, many of which are stored in climate-controlled vaults. Now they are destroyed and the stars are responsible for the cost of replacing them," an A-list stylist (whose client has been left with a bill for $10,000!) told me.
So who is the A-list stylist and the actress who got stuck with the bill? Rachel Zoe dressed four women at the Globes: Jennifer Garner, Kate Hudson, Paula Patton and Cameron Diaz (who all looked fabulous, by the way). Cameron and Kate were very carefully holding their gowns off the carpet during interviews. It's not Jennifer Aniston: she skipped the red carpet to avoid the ruinous rain. And it's not Julia Roberts: she wisely wore a short, vintage YSL dress. If anything got ruined, it was her shoes.
Nicole Chavez usually dresses Rachel Bilson and Kristen Bell and Tara Swennen has styled Kristen Stewart and Angie Harmon in the past, but we don't think either of them are the tipster. Jennifer Rade was doing commentary at the Globes, so we don't think it was one of her clients. Angelina Jolie wasn't even at the Globes.
Could it be Chloe Sevigny? If it is, she needs to forward the bill to NBC because it was an NBC employee who tore her Valentino gown.
Video: Clumsy Oaf Rips Chloe Sevigny's Valentino Gown at the Golden Globes
At the Golden Globes Sunday night,
Chloe Sevigny won Best Performance by an Actress in a Supporting Role - Series for her role in Big Love. She was thrilled to win, but as she was making her way to the stage the clumsy oaf who escorted her up the steps stepped on her lilac chiffon Valentino couture gown and ripped it. Chloe was so horrified that she gave a little scream, and repeated as if in shock "I can't believe he just ripped my dress!" before she launched into her acceptance speech. This film is evidence that it wasn't Chloe's fault; hopefully, the couture house will be forgiving. But that guy needs to be fired from stage duty. Chloe accessorized her look with diamond earrings by Buccellati, a vintage ring by Stephen Russell, and a clutch by Roger Vivier.

Marc Jacobs Reissues Protect the Skin You're In Tees
The Clones reports that Marc Jacobs is reissuing some of his "Protect the Skin You're In" tees. Chloe Sevigny is posing in the t-shirt above. Other celebrities that posed for the shirts include Victoria Beckham, Heidi Klum, Dita Von Teese, Doutzen Kroes and Erin Wasson.
You can find the tees in the special items section on MarcJacobs.com. You have to find the shirts by scrolling to the right. Marc Jacobs has lumped different types of products together on his website in a manner that makes it difficult to find things. As of this writing, the only shirt we could find online after scrolling around for a while was the Heidi Klum one. The shirts can also be found at Marc Jacobs' stores. The shirts costs $35. Proceeds from the sale of the shirts will benefit NYU Cancer Institute at NYU Langone Medical Center.
Chloe Sevigny stars in the music video for "Any Fun" from actor Jason Schwartzman's record label, Coconut Records. Chloe shows off her skateboarding skills in the video. Pederstian.tv says the music video was shot in New York and directed by professional skateboarder Mark Gonzales. Take a look:
Chloë Sevigny is the new face of Chloé Eau De Perfume, which will hit stores in Februay, 2008. Coty, Inc. hosted a party for 800 guests at the Hotel de la Monnaie, which was redecorated for the occasion in the style of the new fragrance.
The perfume was presented only to the women in a special room where they could have their photos taken in a setting that evoked the advertising campaign. Later, the guests were treated to a concert by
The Kills, who performed tracks from their new album. Guests included Lily Cole, Mary-Kate Olsen, Aure Atika, Ludivine Sagnier, Ellen von Umverth, Joey Starr, Julie Depardieu.
Pictured is Chloë posing with French actress Clemence Poesy and model Anja Rubik. Chloë has an umlaut over the e in her name, but the perfume has an accent over the e, which has the actress quite concerned.
"It's very flattering," said Sevigny on being picked to represent Chloé Eau de Parfum, before adding, with a laugh, "I'm concerned that the customers might be confused, though; I have the umlaut in my name while they have the accent. I'm Chloë, not Chloé."
And while Rubik stars in the current Chloé ad campaign, Poésy had an altogether uncanny connection to being a fragrance face as well. "I play a girl named Chloé in my film In Bruges," she laughed.
It's all very confusing. And speaking of confusing, caftans are back. Seriously back. And now that Chloë Sevigny has worn a see-through, modified caftan to a major soirée, well, you know what's coming next. It will be all caftans, all the time. You'll see.
Alas! Fashion darling Chloë Sevigny simply can't stand to watch herself on her hit HBO TV show, Big Love.
Chloë Sevigny says she can’t watch herself in Big Love because she’s so self-conscious about her looks. "It may be why I like fashion so much. I feel the need to adorn myself," the style icon told London's Mail on Sunday. The reporter asked if Sevigny would give up the "whole style-icon thing and just slob around in Gap jeans all day" to which a "horrified" Sevigny replied: "No! I've never worn Gap jeans." . . .
Big Love, in case you missed it, is a show in which Bill Paxton plays Bill Hendrickson, a wealthy businessman from Salt Lake City who practices polygamy. He has three families, three houses and three families, which makes his home life unbelievably complicated. His wives are played by Jeanne Tripplehorn, Chloë Sevigny and Ginnifer Goodwin.
It's sort of a comedy/drama/polygamy thing. Sevigny's character dresses rather plainly on the show, hence her refusal to watch.
And, in case you were wondering, no, the Mormon church is not showing any love whatsoever for Big Love.
