Celebrities Design Coldwater Creek Blue Jeans to Fight Cancer
Coldwater Creek has announced Blue Jeans In Pink, a celebrity fashion based fundraiser in support of Susan G. Komen for the Cure. The month long fundraiser will feature 16 pairs of blue Coldwater Creek Knit Jeans that have each been custom decorated with a pink theme by celebrities. People can enter to win the celebrity decorated jeans beginning October 1st. Pictured above are jeans designed by Nancy O'Dell (left) and Susan Lucci (right).
The 16 celebrities who decorated jeans for the fundraiser include: Sarah Chalke, Rocco DiSpirito, Bob Harper, Mary Hart, Marg Helgenberger, Faith Hill, Susan Lucci, Andie MacDowell, Misty May-Treanor, Debra Messing, Nancy O'Dell, Ana Ortiz, Sam Saboura, Gabrielle Union, Ambassador Nancy G. Brinker – founding chair of Susan G. Komen for the Cure and Georgia Shonk-Simmons, President and Chief Merchandising Officer of Coldwater Creek. Each celebrity worked with a pair of Coldwater Creek's blue Knit Jeans and added his or her own original flare using pink materials such as Swarovski crystals, ribbons, trimmings, etc. and in many cases, by painting original art directly on to the jeans.
The Blue Jeans In Pink enter-to-win/fundraiser will go live on October 1, 2009 at 12:00 a.m. (EDT) at www.coldwatercreek.com/komen and will end on October 31, 2009 at 11:59 p.m. (EDT). Participants may enter-to-win the celebrity decorated pair of jeans of their choice and/or opt to donate to Komen for the Cure in any of Coldwater Creek's 350+ stores nationwide during normal store hours during October. No purchase is necessary to enter and a donation to Komen is not required to participate in the enter-to-win. Coldwater Creek will match any donations that come in through the Blue Jeans In Pink program, up to $100,000, as an additional donation to Komen.
