Some Australian Fans Upset Britney Spears Lipsynched at Concert
Britney Spears is having a difficult time with noisy critics complaining about her lip-synching at concerts in Australia. Popeater reports that one Australian source claims "hundreds of fans" stormed out of the concert angry that Britney was lipsynching. The complainers are relatively small compared to large number of fans leaving Britney's concerts happy.
Critics called her first concert, held in Perth on Friday, "boring" and "stiff."
In their reporting, Perth Now claimed "hundreds of fans stormed out" of the Friday concert. One fan, 22-year-old Amanda Hawlet put it bluntly: "I want my money back or I want her to sing properly. The ticket cost me $200 and she lip-synced the whole thing."
Dainty disputes that fans who paid up to $1,500 dollars would walk out as early as the third song, as was reported. Spears' manager Adam Leber took to Spears' Twitter account to defend the singer to her 3.7 million followers. "Its unfortunate that one journalist in Perth didn't enjoy the show last night. Fortunately the other 18,272 fans in attendance did. - Adam."
People should understand that many concerts these days use lipsynching. There would be very little dancing otherwise. As for Britney, she puts on an amazing show. And what planet have these "critics" been living on the last five years? Of course Britney uses backing tracks and lipsynching in her concerts. Everyone knows that. The point is that she's a great entertainer and concert goers get their money's worth.
John Mayer posted the following tweet that sums up what many people are thinking.
