Bloomberg reports that Sony will launch a new tablet, the Xperia Tablet Z, in Japan as early as March. Pricing and release dates for other parts of the world have not yet been announced.
The super thin 10.1-inch tablet is just 0.27 of an inch thick, which makes it just thinner than the iPad mini. It weighs just 17 ounces. It is waterproof and powered by the Android 4.1 operating system. The Xperia Tablet Z also has a Qualcomm 1.5GHz quad-core processor, 2GB of RAM and an 8.1-megapixel Exmor R camera.
