SNL Cold Open: Solange, Beyonce and Jay-Z Explain the Elevator Fight

You had to know this was coming. Saturday Night Live took aim at the infamous Solange - Jay Z elevator fight after the Met Ball. For the Cold Open, Jay-Z (Jay Pharoah) and Solange (Sasheer Zamata) and their bodyguard (Kenan Thompson) explain what really happened in the elevator that night.

See, there was the spider on Jay-Z and has arachnaphobia, so Solange was just getting the spider off him. In the video they provided which as audio you can hear Solange exclaiming, "Oh my god there's a spider on you." Then Jay-Z replied, "What?? Get it, you know I hate spiders."

"It keeps moving," Solange says as she keeps swinging at him. "Kick it!" Jay says, so Solange complies. She's just trying to help. As they exit the elevator, the spider returns so she tries once again to help.

Beyonce (Maya Rudolph) then shows up to explain more and she even has a fan with her to keep her hair blowing gently in the breeze. Her explanations don't make a lot of sense, but they are hilarious.
