SNL Cold Open: New York City Children's Chorus Sings Silent Night in Tribute to Victims of School Shooting

Martin Short hosted Saturday Night Live last night. The writers had the unenviable task of crafting a live comedy show the day after the worst school shooting in U.S. history. The show struck just the right note. Instead of going with a political sketch, the cold open featured the New York City Children's Chorus singing "Silent Night." The choir wore red robes and sang a capella. After the song, they called out "Live from New York, it's Saturday Night!" It was very effective. Take a look:
