Samsung has announced it will launch its Samsung Mega smartphone in the U.S. later this month. The phone features a large 6.3-inch HD screen, which is why it is named Mega. It is powered by a 1.7 Ghz dual core CPU and runs on Android 4.2.2. It has 1.5 GB of RAM and expandable storage of up to 64 GB with an external microSD card. It has an 8-megapixel read-facing camera.
The Galaxy Mega comes in Nova Black and Polaris White color options and will be available beginning this month. Samsung says AT&T, Sprint and US Cellular will all carry the device. Each carrier will separately announce pricing and availability information for the device. Engadget reports
that AT&T will sell the Galaxy Mega for $150 with a two-year contract.
