Rooney Mara Walks 2012 Oscars Red Carpet in Givenchy Haute Couture
Rooney Mara chose Givenchy Haute Couture for her Oscars gown. The white gown
featured elaborate piecework on the bodice, a fluid skirt and a flowing skirt with train. The back of the gown was quite dramatic, with two horizontal straps holding the back zipper. Rooney wore no earrings or necklace, keeping the focus on the gown. Her hair is still growing out from filming The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo, so she opted for heavy bangs and a short ponytail.
Rooney told Ryan Seacrest that she just picked out the dress the morning before the event. She had a few different dresses to choose from. Take a look:
