Raskullz has a line of character bike helmets coming out for kids that include 3-D attachments. The new 2013 line includes 30 original characters with 3-D attachments that blow in the breeze, such as raccoon tails and feathers. There are also kitten ears, shark fins, ladybug attenas and more. The helmets contain a polystyrene (EPS) liner covered with soft pads and six vent holes. They also have an adjustable chin strap.
Conan Hayes, founder and CEO of C-Preme, maker of the Raskullz helmets line, says, "We created Raskullz because we were looking for a way to make wearing a helmet as fun as riding a bike or skateboard. When we heard parents say that their kids were wearing the helmets non-stop, even to places like the movie theater, we knew we were on to something."
The helmets with 3-D attachments will cost $25. They will be sold at Target, Walmart, Toys R Us and specialty bike shops.
