Raquel Welch is a MAC Beauty Icon

class="first">MAC Cosmetics has named Raquel Welch as its fourth M-A-C Beauty Icon. Raquel helped design a new MAC color collection, which will be available in February, 2007.
Raquel says in a statement, ""When M-A-C approached me to their Beauty Icon face for 2007, I was delighted! I've been a devotee of M-A-C products for over 20 years. Because of my profession, the art of makeup is a real passion of mine, both on and off screen, so it's exciting to be designing a signature collection for M-A-C."
The Raquel Welch Beauty Icon Collection is packaged in a tiger-print pattern and "was created and designed around Raquel's love for shading and her ability as a makeup artist," says Jennifer Balbier, Senior Vice President, Product Development, M-A-C Cosmetics. The collection is available at all M-A-C locations and online at maccosmetics.com.
You know how you see these incredibly airbrushed photos of celebrities, especially in magazine ads that don't look anything like the celeb looks in real life -- or even on TV? Well, Raquel Welch is 66 and she looks amazing in real life. She says she doesn't feel like she did at 20, 30, or even 40, but that she enjoys life. But she really doesn't look like any 66 year-old that we've ever seen. We know she is a lifelong yoga practicioner and that she avoids the sun. And we're sure she has a good plastic surgeon. But....66?? Clearly, there's a portrait of Dorian Raquel Grey in her attic that is doing her aging for her. We love Raquel.
