Pharrell Williams was the special Musical Consultant to the 2012 Oscars and he
did a fabulous job. Pharrell told Ryan Seacrest that he had to keep certain traditions for the Oscar telecast, but that he gave the music a modern twist. In addition to the orchestra, Pharrell had different musicians -- such as Sheila E -- in the balcony, playing music during the lead out to commercial. Pharrell also hit a fashion home run, wearing a three piece, navy blue tuxedo by Lanvin. The tuxedo featured black detailing and a larger, retro bow tie.
