P.F. Chang's Reveals Credit and Debit Card Data Stolen From Some of Its Restaurants

P.F. Chang's has revealed that credit and debit card data was stolen from some of its restaurants. The restaurant chain says they were notified of the breach by the United States Secret Service on June 10th. They restaurants have temporarily switched to manual credit card imprinting devices.

P.F. Chang's says in a statement, "Because we are still in the preliminary stages of our investigation, we encourage our guests to be vigilant about checking their credit card and bank statements. Any suspected fraudulent activity should be immediately reported to their card company."

P.F. Chang's says it has a team of third-party forensics experts investigating the breach. They have concluded that data was compromised. Krebs reports that the restaurants are processing payment slips using dial-up card readers.
