Oscar Pistorius Claims He Shot Girlfriend by Mistake, Thinking She Was an Intruder

Oscar Pistorius was in court today. His lawyer read Oscar's sworn statement of what happened on Valentine's Day when his girlfriend was shot and killed. The Olympic athlete wept as the statement was read out in which he said he awoke, thought he heard an intruder and was scared because he did not have his prosthetic legs on. He said he put the legs on, walked twenty feet to the bathroom door and shot through the door. When he realized his girlfriend was not in bed, he panicked, knocked the door down to get to her, took her downstairs and tried to revive her. The prosecution says that it was premeditated murder.
