Nick Jr. has partnered with Saban Brands to launch an animated preschool series inspired by Paul Frank's Julius the Monkey character. The animated show, called
Julius Jr., will follow the adventures of a young version of Julius. Julius Jr. and his young pals, Worry Bear, Sheree, Clancy and Ping, build a playhouse with a cardboard box and discover that ordinary objects can magically come to life. The series will begin airing later this year in the U.S., Australia and New Zealand.
Elie Dekel, President of Saban Brands, said in a statement, "This is an exciting next step for the Paul Frank brand, and for Saban Brands. Julius Jr. will entertain and captivate millions of children and continue our tradition of creating new platforms on which to engage with our brands."
