Natalie Dormer Talks Shaving Her Head for The Hunger Games
Posted on April 23, 2014
Natalie Dormer, who plays Margaery Tyrell on the HBO hit Game of Thrones and Irene Adler on CBS' Elementary was a guest on The Today Show. Natalie talked to Kathie Lee and Hoda about her new role in Hunger Games: Mockingjay. Natalie will play Cressida, a film director who films Katniss and her activities during the rebellion in order to rally the troops against the corrupt capitol.
Natalie's character has a shaved head and tattoos in the books and she was fully prepared to go bald. But at the last minute the director said he wanted just half the head shaved, so now she can actually cover up the bald side. She lifts her hair and there it is. She says she wears a wig on Game of Thrones, so the producers were not upset.
