Moschino's Toy Fragrance Comes in a Teddy Bear Bottle

Posted on March 16, 2015

Moschino's new Toy fragrance comes in a teddy bear bottle. The teddy bear is wearing a t-shirt that says, "This is not a Moschino toy." The fragrance is the first from Jeremy Scott as the designer for Moschino.

Model Isabeli Fontana is the face of the campaign for the new fragrance. She wears a dress partly made out of the Moschino fragrance teddy bears. The campaign was photographed by Steven Meisel.

Jeremy Scott told Vogue UK how he came up with the clever idea. He says the bottle itself pays homage to the Franco Moschino bear dress from the Fall/Winter 1988 collection. Scott also says, "As I had never seen a plush stuffed animal as a perfume bottle it seemed like all the more reason to do it. After going so far as to make the bottle an actual teddy bear I felt the packaging needed to continue the idea to push the concept all the way!"

The packaging for the fragrance is also clever. It looks like a child's toy box and has words like "Touch Me" and "Try Me." The fragrance itself is a citrus woody floral. Top notes include mandarin, juniper berries, cardamom and bergamot. The fragrance has a heart of violet, hawthorn petals and lavender and a base of tree moss, cedarwood, sandalwood and vanilla bean.
