More Than One Million People Cheer For Queen Elizabeth at Buckingham Palace

Queen Elizabeth was joined by the Prince of Wales, Duchess of Cornwall, Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and Prince Harry on the balcony at Buckingham Palace as part of the Diamond Jubiless celebrations. Prince Philip was notably absent, as he is still in the hospital recovering from a bladder infection. The Red Arrows did a flyover with red, white and blue smoke trails in her honor.

The Telegraph reports that the The Queen's Guard fired rifles in what is called a "feu de joie." The feu de joie has only been fired once before during Elizabeth's reign, in 2006 after the Queen's Birthday Parade. The Queen's Guard gave three cheers for her majesty. The crowd joyfully joined in the Hip Hip Hoorays, and in the singing of God Save the Queen. The Queen looked truly happy and touched at the one and half million people that lined the streets to honor her. Take a look:
