PC World reports that Microsoft quickly sold out of its $1,000 128GB Surface Pro model. It is not clear exactly how many of the devices Microsoft had stocked in stores, but it is no longer available online at Best Buy, Staples or Microsoft's online store.

here on microsoftstore.com. The $899 64 GB Surface Pro is still available.

reports that Microsoft issued the following statement: "Customer response to the launch of Surface Pro has been amazing. The Microsoft Online Store is currently out of stock of the Surface Pro. Our priority is to ensure that every customer gets their new Surface Pro as soon as possible. We are replenishing our supplies as quickly as possible."
