Luxury Car Sales Rise, Sales of $229,000 McLaren MP4-12C Are Booming in Philadelphia

A recent report says that luxury car sales in the U.S. have increased by 14%. g. One luxury Philadelphia area dealership says they've been selling lots of high end cars, especially the McLaren MP4-12C. The McLaren has a powerful engine that does 0-60 mph in 3 seconds.

The president of McLaren Philadelphia, Robert Distanislao, says that area of Philidelphia is well able to afford a McLaren. Since the end of December, they've sold 19 of the model that has a base price of $229,000. There are many more orders that have been paid for, as well. He says they expect to sell between 30-40 of the cars by the end of 2012.
