L.A. Times' Food Section Staff Creates a Peyton Manning Cocktail and a Snack Stadium

The staff of The Los Angeles Times' Food section joined forces to create a Super Bowl party spread. First up is the booze. Deputy Food editor Betty Hallock created a cocktail she calls the "Peyton Manning." The cocktail is made in a pitcher, using chilled ingredients. Betty rims the cocktail glasses with a mixture of salt, celery salt and sugar. The drink itself consists of blanco tequila, Cointreau, lime juice, orange juice and a 6 pack of Hefeweizen beer.

Test Kitchen Director Noelle Carter creates a stadium of snacks, which has gained popularity over the past few years. Hers features an entire football field of guacamole with homemade queso dip, hot wings, vegetables and chips for dipping and lots of desserts. She used doughnuts for the stadium seat and has cookies with sweet dips and sprinkles. Take a look:
