Kristen Stewart walked the red carpet for the 2013 Academy Awards wearing a foot cast and using crutches. Kristen cut the ball of her foot pretty badly and it had to be stitched. She was given a walking cast to keep weight off the foot. But the photographers wanted a shot without crutches so she gamely hobbled over and gave them what they wanted. Her white Reem Acra gown was just
lovely. The white gown featured a strapless bodice and elaborate embroidery over sheer illusion. The gown flared from the knee with delicate ruffling in the back. Due to her injury, she had to wear some basic grey ballerina flats.
Kristen skipped earrings, but wore a gorgeous diamond necklace and ring
by Fred Leighton. She was a presenter during the telecast and ditched her crutches while she was onstage.
Backstage new Oscar winner Anne Hathaway
asked Kristen what happened and Kristen replied, "I know, I'm an idiot...But congratulations!" Kristen then said she hoped the wound wouldn't open up on stage. Luckily that didn't happen.
