Posted on July 24, 2015

Supermodel Karlie Kloss covers the August 2015 issue of Self magazine. She's wearing a unique looking cross between a bandage dress and athletic gear on the cover along with two silver wrist bands. The issue is Self's best bodies issue.

The best bodies issue spotlights athletes Tori Pena, Rachael Adamas, Christa Harmotto Dietzen, Helen Jenkins, Natalie Coughlin and Nathalie Moellhausen. Karlie jumps hurdles and pole vaults in the Self cover shoot. She also runs and kicks in this watery short film by Paola Kudacki:

In the Self interview, Karlie talks about how she changed her diet in her late teens to cut back on sugar and eat more veggies. Karlie says, "I stopped eating Goldfish and Oreos and started eating kale salads and avocado toast. It changed my energy. I realized, OK, how I eat affects how I feel."

Karlie's fitness routine includes yoga, pilates, Spinning, boxing and running. This helps keep her in great shape. She also likes to work out her brain. She has been learning to code and recently partnered with The Flatiron School in New York City to offer high school girls scholarships to the school's summer coding program.

Karlie says, "I'm definitely still a beginner. But it's something that I hope to get better at. I hope we'll be able to change at least one girl's choice of what she studies, or maybe even just the way she thinks about building her own idea into a company. That's how I measure success."

Karlie also shows off her impressive flexibility in videos called "Yoga Flow" and Cool-Down." Take a look:
