Iggy Azalea and Mo Perform Beg For It on SNL

Iggy Azalea was the musical guest on Saturday Night Live last night. She premiered her new single "Beg For It" which features Danish singer/songwriter Karen Marie Orsted, better known as Mo.

Iggy opened the performance sitting on a black throne flanked by two giant black panther statues. She came off the raised dais and was surrounded by male dancers. Iggy wore tight pinstriped pants and a black silk shirt but like a jacket. She wore her long blonde hair in tight curls.

Iggy's rapping sounded great. But there was something odd going on with the sound mix. Om seemed to be getting a bit of an echo problem during the first part of the performance. She was almost half a beat slower than everyone else at times. But she was working her goth look with her long dark hair worn stick straight with a center part.

The tempo seemed to slow down when when Om was singing the hook, but the dancers all hit their marks. It didn't sound exactly like the recorded version, so we don't think there was lip synching involved. Iggy performed twice during the show, and joined in for the Halloween Party sketch for a bit of dancing with Jim Carrey and Kate McKinnon, dressed as the young dancer from Sia's Chandelier video. Iggy later said this was Om's first television performance, and told her it would get easier. So perhaps Om was a bit nervous. In any event, it all went well.

"Beg For It" is off of Iggy's new album Reclassified, which is a reissue of The New Classic.
